Requested move 23 December 2017[edit]

The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: no consensus. Not seeing agreement in this debate after 21 days and a relisting (long enough for two relistings). As is usual with a no consensus outcome, there is no prejudice toward a further attempt to garner consensus to find the highest and best titles for these pages. Happy New Year to All! Great as the song was, there is no longer any primary topic meeting both WP:PT criteria. 7 years after Top Gear's James May's Lego house was demolished, the real thing is finally open in Denmark and got 70,000 visitors in the first 100 days. See The Guardian Everything is awesome! The brick-tastic brilliance of the new Lego House. With its shark-infested rooftops, stomping dinosaurs and build-your-own Lego lunches, this multi-levelled ziggurat is a mind-blowing playground of 25m bricks. Straits Times British family wins Lego House sleepover. In ictu oculi (talk) 22:19, 23 December 2017 (UTC) --Relisting. ToThAc (talk) 15:21, 5 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support alternative move - I would suggest moving Lego House (Billund) to the main namespace as it currently appears to be far and away the primary topic.ZXCVBNM (TALK) 07:59, 24 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support proposed move, reluctantly. Although the Billund structure may become the primary topic in time, page views indicate that the song remains somewhat more popular as a topic. I can't see any primary topic at this point. bd2412 T 15:47, 27 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
    • A museum literally created by Lego themselves and called the Lego House, I'd say that has "substantially greater enduring notability" than a song featuring Legos, despite the fact that they are similar in popularity.ZXCVBNM (TALK) 14:09, 28 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
      • It is altogether too soon to say what kind of enduring notability the new structure will have. bd2412 T 18:13, 1 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. It's too soon to determine either the article traffic picture or the long-term significance. The structure in Billund has received consistently less traffic than the song, despite the fact that it just opened and the song is 7 years old.--Cúchullain t/c 18:17, 2 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support – Now that there is a literal "Lego House" that is actually owned by Lego themselves, that no longer makes Ed's song the primary topic. In fact, I also recommend moving "Lego House (Billund)" to something else in parentheses, the city is not a proper way to describe a building. JE98 (talk) 03:20, 3 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment – I opened a move request at Talk:Lego House (Billund)#Requested move 3 January 2018. JE98 (talk) 03:24, 3 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose a case of WP:RECENTISM to suggest that the literal Lego House would rival the song's significance. feminist (talk) 07:50, 7 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose - Nothing will ever rival the song...... Most people will come to this article looking for the song but if they don't then we have the disam and hatnotes which are all more than sufficient. –Davey2010Talk 02:05, 11 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support move per nom, Bd2412, and JE98. If a phrase could easily and commonly refer to one of multiple things, a disambiguation page should take the primary topic. Paintspot Infez (talk) 19:27, 12 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
