Battle of Frezenberg and Cadet affiliation

[edit]

I'd like to point out the importance of the Batle of Frezenberg to the LDY. If I'm correct in what I've been taught, the LDY was the only squadron which held the line, while all other companies/squadrons retreated.

Either way, the LDY is affiliated with a cadet company. Specifically, F Sqn (LDY), Leicestershire Northants. and Rutland Army Cadet Force. http://www.lnracf.co.uk/news/Fsquadronnews.htm (LDY cap-badge is shown on page) this may not be enough of a reference, I'm sure there's more information, but I feel that the cadet affiliation should be mentioned on the page.

Sorry, missed the actual date of the battle; Battle of Frezenberg, 8–13 May 1915. This may not be the one I am thinking of, but it is the only battle I could find. Also, there's a memorial to the battle at the top of Old John in Bradgate Park.
