Red light district[edit]

Should we comment on the red light district here? Note there is another article, De Wallen, which details this area of Amsterdam. It also makes no mention of Leidseplein. Judging by search results it seems they may be two different areas entirely. — MusikAnimal talk 17:47, 6 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This Huffington Post article seems to insinuate the same, and does this page on Lonely Planet. — MusikAnimal talk 17:51, 6 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I'm going to remove this claim. One of the included sources [1] clearly states they are different areas entirely. — MusikAnimal talk 17:53, 6 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Every article on Wikipedia must stand alone and be comprehensive. Other articles on Wikipedia are not WP:RS. Only a reliable source is considered WP:RS. I am getting a headache. 23.27.248.184 (talk) 17:54, 6 January 2015 (UTC).[reply]
I'm not sure if I follow. The sources you provided seem to state the Red Light District and Leidseplein are two different areas. De Wallen is about the Red Light District. — MusikAnimal talk 17:55, 6 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think there's much to debate here. They are two different areas, so why are we discussing another area on this article? — MusikAnimal talk 17:58, 6 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Back off and be patient. This is all embedded in the Dutch culture and it is hard to explain to foreigners who have never been to our country. Just be patient and stop hounding and pressuring me. Would you? I gave you more chances than I should. I will take you and Amit to AN/I. 23.27.248.184 (talk) 18:15, 6 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
No need to make threats. I'm more than willing to work with you. However you should not include sources that contradict the claim it is supposed to support. That's fairly straightforward. Wouldn't you agree? — MusikAnimal talk 18:19, 6 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Even if it is hard to explain to foreigners you still need sources that properly support your additions. The source appears to refer to a different area. Please respond to the concerns here before reverting again. ANI is only going to tell you the same thing. Chillum 18:32, 6 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
