Cited source for death
[edit]The cited source for Wilkinson's death, a blog post at Flowingdata, cites Wilkinson's daughter, Amie (herself a Wiki-notable mathematician), but the link given at Flowingdata is to the Revision history of this Wiki article on Leland. Searching through the Revision history, the source for his date and place of death turns out to be an Edit summary by Amie from 12 December 2021. Though the information is very likely correct, it is a circular reference, and a reliable source should be found. In a quick check of memorial comments about Leland on the web, I cannot find such a source. MayerG (talk) 10:59, 26 July 2023 (UTC)
- @MayerG: The current cite for the relationship with his daughter is this obituary (of his wife). But, yes, I do agree the flowingdata cite for his death is circular. --Engineerchange (talk) 12:20, 26 July 2023 (UTC)
