Problematic statements
[edit]I honestly don't know what to do with this statement:
- Most students come in to Changez having previously been involved in organized sports and for those who have not, they soon find their stride when they hit the school.
Saying they "soon find their stride when they hit the school" does not seem like a verifiable statement, making it potentially original research, I suppose, but even that doesn't quite seem to describe what's wrong with it, because it also seems to predict that this will always be the case. In those ways it is similar to this earlier statement:
- The curriculum might be considered heavy on the sciences but equal attention is paid to providing the students with extensive humanities classes ensuring that all benefit from a well-rounded experience and maximum opportunities for life after high school.
This seems to be another statement that is quite hard to verify ("ensuring that all benefit"?), and like the earlier statement makes a claim that seems to be pushing a particular promotional WP:POV. The whole article seems to have a very very promotional tone, hence my reason for adding the {{newsrelease}} tag, and needs to be reworked to a more neutral point of view (and could probably be shortened as well), but these two statements in particular have problems and need to be rewritten or removed in order to make sure the article meets Wikipedia's quality standards.
One other note, the article says "see Eric Shirley Shield 1977" in the Sports section, which appears to be copied from this page, but I have no idea what that is or how to go about seeing it. It should be cited properly per. Wikipedia:Citing sources, probably using one of the handy Wikipedia:Citation templates. Thank you. -- HiEv 22:13, 17 October 2007 (UTC)
- The article still sounds like an advertisement. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.179.131.222 (talk) 15:12, 9 June 2018 (UTC)

Origins and confused identity
[edit]The origins of the school are wrong - the Duke of York School (Lenana) started as a sister school of the Prince of Wales School (in 1948 I think not 1949). The Prince of Wales School is a seperate school (the text seems to suggest it morphed into the Lenana) and is now known as the Nairobi School. 2001:8003:70F5:2400:4492:11BF:328B:F4E8 (talk) 09:32, 27 May 2024 (UTC)
