Really bad introduction[edit]

A typical stub written by a sophomore college student who wants to show off his buzzwords. The introduction gives almost no information useful to general readers. It doesn't even explain how a lens for microwaves differs from an optical lens, what it is made of, how it is used in an antenna, why lens antennas are limited to the microwave band, what applications they are used for, who invented them, or their advantages and disadvantages. --ChetvornoTALK 16:22, 14 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, am rewriting it right now. When I find a sloppy stub like this, written by a technically knowledgeable editor who obviously could have written a comprehensible introduction but instead has let his ego trump ACCESSIBILITY, MTAU and simply written a few JARGONy sentences on whatever aspects of the subject interest him, I usually leave a note like the above, listing what's wrong with it. Feedback on pages is useful for any editors who come after to improve it. --ChetvornoTALK 13:35, 15 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
