[edit]

Hello. I have recently added a contemporary image and it was removed. I think it should be kept, but if the majority think it should stay removed then I will, of course, concede. I understand that it could not be used for Leonardo III Tocco, but that is because it is not contemporary. Now, I do disagree with the ideas of the person who did remove the image, but I am not going to edit-war over it. However, we can use it in Leonardo V Tocco's article because it is a contemporary image from the 1610s. I may have my argument wrong here, which I can accept, but I do think it can be considered. The image is contemporary with Leonardo V's life time but there is no evidence that it actually depicts him. An additional rationale for not using it at Leonardo III or Leonardo IV is that we don't actually know which Leonardo it depicts so I don't see why that rationale does not also apply here. IMO it is more likely to depict Leonardo III since he's the most prominent of the three (though I'm not advocating for using it there either). That's a very good point. I agree and apologise for my previous edit. Tim O'Doherty (talk) 20:53, 11 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
