This article originally contained the below sentence, based on material garnered from Above the Lines: The Aces and Fighter Units of the German Air Service, Naval Air Service and Flanders Marine Corps 1914 - 1918 Norman L. R. Franks, et al. Grub Street, 1993. ISBN 0948817739, ISBN 9780948817731.

Postwar, Anslinger became a Lufthansa pilot.

As can be seen by the amended paragraph below, the sentence was incorrect. The paragraph was amended to the one below; the edit summary noted that the change was made by the grandson of the biography's subject:

His son as well named Leopold Anslinger became a Deutsche Luft Hansa pilot after he learned to fly in the german air force.
