Just saying, I did not find any inappropriate interlink. They all sound reasonable. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gypsy.Jared (talkcontribs) 11:58, 27 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

sourcing

[edit]

Mofe to the point, I can find no reliable source even for existence. This is apparently the same person as Les Brown (motivational speaker), for whom I can also find no adequate source--see the talk page there. The complete absence for any new source in google news is very troublesome. DGG ( talk ) 05:16, 29 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"You Have GOT To Be Hungry" Audio tape

[edit]

In 1991 or so, Les gave a talk that his organization dubbed "You Have GOT To Be Hungry," on cassette, in which a man with the last name Mustafa introduced him, "Well, what do you say about a great man like Les Brown? You say, Mustafa, get outta the WAY!" In it Mr. Brown says, "Sometimes life will just quit beating you up. It says, 'He just don't know that he can't get over. Let's just let this one go!'", and "When will I become known as, 'The Great Motivator'? I'll become known when I'm KNOWN!" When you go after the things you want, you have to release your brakes and totally GO for it, no holds barred. That is the Les Brown message.

Somewhere in this article I would like to see this synopsis, with more specifics, but I lost his tape to an angry fire in 2011, so I am asking for someone from that organization to give more complete details regarding this recording. Thank You. FormerTrafficCrashPupil (talk) 04:26, 19 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Notability?

[edit]

As far as I can tell, he's most notable for being Gladys Knight's husband. I've changed the lede accordingly. --Hipal (talk) 15:51, 9 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
