The result of the move request was: Moved. I'm satisfied that this is a deliberate choice by the newspaper rather than diacritic edit warring. (see also: Talk:Les Echos (France)) (closed by non-admin page mover) Sceptre (talk) 19:24, 15 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Les Échos (Mali)Les Echos (Mali) – The newspaper generally presents its name in both text and graphic as "Les Echos" rather than "Les Échos",[1] even if the latter would be the correct spelling in French. Both sources used in this article also show "Les Echos" (though note the general absence of special characters). It is furthermore found this way in Francophone institutional sites like [2]. It is a font stylism used for capital É. This is a very frequent font issue in France. But with the font Wikipedia uses it is not an issue. In ictu oculi (talk) 21:41, 8 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
You did read my response, right? They purposely do not use the character in their name in places where the same character in the same casing is otherwise present. The logo is a custom font, everywhere else on the website, common free fonts are used. For example, the footer uses Open Sans; the É character is available in this font but is omitted on the website. • Support - The same as at Talk:Les Échos (France), this seems to be an error rather than a styling issue. Again, the company homepage style it without a diacritic in both the logo and the "© LES ECHOS 2019. Tous droits réservés. Site réalisé par OXADEL" notice at the bottom of the page, and neither of the article's two sources use a diacritic either.  — Amakuru (talk) 13:20, 4 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Again this is É not small case é In ictu oculi (talk) 21:41, 8 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
"This is English Wikipedia, French grammar rules are for French Wikipedia." That really sums it up. However if the closing admin examins WP:FRMOS and the examples of the font problem illustrated on Talk:Les Échos (France) hopefully we can going back to the diacritics war of 2010.
