Title
[edit]According to commonly used rules in French orthography, the title ought to be Les Enfants terribles (opera), although per WP:OPERATITLE, the custom on the English WikiProject Opera would be to name it Les enfants terribles (opera). -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 11:17, 9 October 2018 (UTC)
World premiere
[edit]The opera was performed in Albertslund, Copenhagen and the performance was presented as a world premiere. Glass was there. I was there too, but I have not kept any documents. It should however be possible to straighten this out. Mio Nielsen --Cayrouses (talk) 07:35, 17 May 2021 (UTC)
- Apparently, there were quite a number of premieres. The only source I can find regarding Albertslund is "Der var engang en kulturby" by Jakob Levinsen, Dansk Musik Tidsskrift (1996–1997), vol. 71, no. 5, pp. 147–151. Unfortunately, that article doesn't give an exact date, but it's enough to add it to the list of premieres in the article. -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 10:33, 17 May 2021 (UTC)
Thank you for the information. So it was in the month of may-96, according to the link you gave. --Cayrouses (talk) 12:22, 17 May 2021 (UTC)
- Can you point me to the specific text in that article that mentions it was performed in May at the da:Kulturby 96? -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 12:35, 17 May 2021 (UTC)
It is in the middle of page 6: ...…samt gæstespil i Albertslundhuset af Philip Glass i maj - den første opførelse på dansk grund af en Glass-apera, den helt nye Les Enfants Terribles -... translation: ... including a guest performance by Philip Glass in may, the first staging in Denmark of a Glass opera, the completely new Les enfants terrible- ... There was only one performance. I will try to find the date. Mio Nielsen. France --Cayrouses (talk) 14:17, 17 May 2021 (UTC)
Funny: The date given for the staging in Zug is ... 18th of may -96. Tomorrow that is exactly 25 years ago.--Cayrouses (talk) 14:26, 17 May 2021 (UTC)
The performance date in Albertslund was 28th of may. The opera was performed also the following day.--Cayrouses (talk) 15:30, 17 May 2021 (UTC)
