This article should NOT be merged with any articles on Leuser National Park. The 'Leuser National Park' is a smaller area, designated a national park by the Indonesian Government, which lies WITHIN the larger 'Leuser Ecosystem'. The Leuser Ecosystem is a region that includes lowland areas away from the central mountains and peat lands toward the coast. To merge the two is not only scientifically and politically unsound, but, considering the illegal logging and poaching activities that continue in these forests, extremely damaging to public perception and the conservation status of the Leuser Ecosystem which needs to be recognised as such and protected as an area of even greater importance than just a national park. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 112.215.124.69 (talk) 06:24, 2 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
