Improving this article to its potential[edit]

Hello!

I have stumbled into this article by chance. I got interested with the assertion that he was the first economist to brought up the objective rules of the socialist economy (claim that I haven't had a chance of supporting or refuting yet). He seems to be indicated to be a topic of low importance by a wiki community or something like that.

Still, after searching a bit I saw that there are some mentions of him in different texts, crediting him as someone important in the field. Since the origin of the Soviet Revolution and as someone that may have influenced on the policy making. I managed to dig up some more references:

https://www.jstor.org/stable/148853

https://www-jstor-org.eur.idm.oclc.org/stable/148789

https://www.marxists.org/subject/economy/authors/pe/index.htm

I have added them already in the page after the assertion that he was an economist. My plan is to actually read this and try to do a brief summary of his thougth, expanding the page with more sections. Im sure more references will start to pop up after I read some more stuff.

If you happen to read this and get interested, please help! FranGallego33 (talk) 01:16, 27 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Update:
Hello again ;)
As you can see, I have added plenty of content already, as a well as created the Spanish version (para aquellos que quieran ayudar ahí). I have found more sources, from economic articles written by him to general texts of economic thought talking about him. I have read the ones cited in the text already, the links of the references are the unused ones. Still, feel free to correct my adaptations.
There is a lot of mistery surrounding his biography (apparently there is some content regarding this in his wikidata page), particularly his death. ChatGPT even says that he was killed in the Stalinst purges of 1937. So some research and verification would definetely be helpful.
The greast prize would be, of course, finding a photo of him. Feel free to change the ones I have used for a more appropiate one if deemed necessary.
Thanks again and good luck! FranGallego33 (talk) 19:06, 27 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • 5X expansion reverted because the added content was copyright protected. David notMD (talk) 02:31, 28 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Presumably safe to reject the nom for now then? Juxlos (talk) 05:33, 28 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Article has still been 5x expanded; it just now has empty sections, and so can't run per WP:DYKCOMPLETE. Suggest giving FranGallego33 some time to fill the gaps in their own words.--Launchballer 09:02, 28 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Confirming that only part of what FrabGallego33 added was reverted for copyright infringement. My mistake. David notMD (talk) 09:09, 28 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

What is the connection between Gatovsky and the three stamps issued in 1964? David notMD (talk) 01:21, 30 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello David,
I haven't been able to find a photo of Gatovsky, so I found one that closely relates to the soviet industry (textiles, machinery, and agriculture). I posted a comment in the talk page indicating that if anyone finds a better photo to please change it.
Is it preferable to have it without one? FranGallego33 (talk) 15:18, 30 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Also, I saw that an editor removed the categories because " − 13 categories using HotCat not for people". What does this mean? I wrote the categories manually using the suggested links that wikipedia offers in that section. Are they wrongly used?
Having more categories could definitely help the page get some more reach no? FranGallego33 (talk) 15:23, 30 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
