Founding[edit]

The law school can only claim 1915 as its founding date. U of O gets 1884. That is why L&C doesn't list 1884 as a founding date (conspicuously absent I might add) in the ABA guide to law schools. All the credentials and accreditation went to Eugene with the move. See here and here. Otherwise it would be like West Virginia claiming statehood in 1788 since they used to be part of Virginia. Sorry, but only one school was started in 1884, when the profs started an indepedent school, it was new, just the professors were old. Aboutmovies 03:26, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Named after Lewis and Clark - celebrating slavery.[edit]

Slightly surprised that the edits were reverted. Seems very relevant. 50.39.228.81 (talk) 03:47, 26 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
