I've edited this page to better reflect Prothero's military service. Specifically, the film version served in Iraq, Kuwait etc, while the comic version served in Aden. The previous writeup seemed to imply the comic version served in Iraq and Kurdistan, which is unlikely since Kurdistan was not so commonly referred to among pop political analysts in the early 80s. I've also mentioned his fondness for dirty jokes.
