[edit]

I moved to Sacramento in 2004, and took notice of this building not long after.  My impression, at the time, was that it was abandoned.

Some time since then, I noticed some new signage going up, proclaiming it as “The Cannery”.

Today, 29 June 2017, I worked there.  Apparently, this building is, at this time, undergoing some significant renovation and remodeling.  I spent a fair amount of time there, today, cutting out old pipes, and patching holes with concrete.

I suppose if there's a point to my entry, here, it is to call attention to the fact that this article appears to be badly out of date.  It mentions some occupation of this building in the 1980s, and a value assessed in 1991, all very long before I ever saw this building or knew that it existed.  Nothing at all about the status of this building any time this century, much less what is being done with it now.

I created this article years ago. The nice thing about Wikipedia is that anyone can edit it! If you have some info from reliable sources, go to town. There are probably more recent Sac Bee articles about renovations in recent years. Killiondude (talk) 22:13, 1 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
