Life and Nothing More (2017 film)Life and Nothing MoreNo conflict. Even if the 1992 film was better known as 'Life, and Nothing More...', WP:SMALLDETAILS would still apply. This is a contested technical request (permalink). GeoffreyT2000 (talk) 03:20, 9 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Not convinced this is merited. The Iranian film is about equal in page views, and the presence or absence of ... and a comma in the English translation doesn't qualify as WP:SMALLDETAILS. I have changed Life and Nothing More to a disambiguation page, as until today it redirected to the Iranian film only.  — Amakuru (talk) 08:43, 8 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
    • Just wanted to leave a quick note here that I've looked into this too, and I agree with what Amakuru has done. Dr. Vogel (talk) 14:30, 8 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
    • I said Even if. Regardless of whether the difference in punctuation rises to WP:SMALLDETAILS, the Spanish film remains the only thing in the encyclopedia whose WP:COMMONNAME is "Life and Nothing More" or anything similar. It makes little sense to require those who typed "Life and Nothing More" an extra click to access the only article whose title is "Life and Nothing More" or any of its punctuation variants. Nardog (talk) 14:51, 9 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose per WP:SMALLDETAILS. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 18:45, 9 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
    • Currently there is only one article named "Life and Nothing More" or "Life, and Nothing More...". So the proposal is to make it the primary topic. I'm having a hard time understanding how WP:SMALLDETAILS interferes with it. Nardog (talk) 19:20, 9 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per WP:SMALLDETAILS. A comma can make a lot of difference. Also, "Life, and Nothing More..." is not even the base name, it's a redirect. This is why hatnotes help. Having a disambiguation page for only two pages, one which is just a redirect to a different title, is not helpful. cookie monster 755 06:26, 11 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per nomination and cookie monster 755. A hatnote atop the entry for the Spanish film Life and Nothing More should suffice: For the Abbas Kiarostami film — Life, and Nothing More... — see And Life Goes On and, since the naming of Kiarostami's film plays a key role in this nomination, I would additionally support moving the main title header of its entry And Life Goes OnLife and Nothing More (And Life Goes On), per the poster in that film's infobox. —Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 04:57, 17 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I can't confirm that's the WP:COMMONNAME for the Iranian movie, but at any rate that's out of the scope of this discussion. Nardog (talk) 07:54, 17 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per nom. Shwcz (talk) 08:26, 22 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Relistiers comment : Currently, it appears that the opinion is balanced between Move and Not Move so Ill relist this to get thorough consensus. >>> Extorc.talk 07:50, 23 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I'm having a hard time understanding how that read is possible. The only oppose !vote just links to a policy section, which others have cited in support of the proposal, without elaborating why. The early commenters who had reservations focused on WP:SMALLDETAILS, which isn't the primary rationale. (The primary reason is that this is the only extant article whose base page name is "Life and Nothing More".) Nardog (talk) 20:09, 26 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support. The Spanish film is the only Wikipedia article to be titled "Life and Nothing More" with any type of punctuation. Further, even if the Iranian film's article were to be moved to "Life, and Nothing More...", that still counts as sufficient disambiguation under WP:SMALLDETAILS. Consider Airplane! vs. Airplane, which SMALLDETAILS explicitly approves. ModernDayTrilobite (talkcontribs) 16:13, 30 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
