Typically a photoelectric barrier is a single beam whereas safety light curtains are series of parallel, usually horizontal beams. When properly designed this will make it impossible for the operator to reach around the safety light curtain. Stogiesaurus (talk) 20:07, 18 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
