Longest Metal Song[edit]

Hi, I am about to edit this page's statement that says something like "which makes it the longest Metal song ever recorded"...

"Surgical Sound Specimens from the Museum of Skin" by Fantômas, on their Delìrium Còrdia album, lasts 74 minutes and 17 seconds. --Zouavman Le Zouave 16:05, 12 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"Surgical Sound Specimens from the Museum of Skin" is not a metal song. It's more of a strange experimental instrumental. Zanders5k 06:01, 18 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe it's because Fantômas is an avant-garde-metal experimental band? I will check it out if the future of it remaining in this article is acceptable. --₪ÇɨгςąғџςɨҲ₪ contact me٭
20min of the Fantomas song consists of a locked groove... Anyone could add that to a song and consider to have created the longest song. Since this is pretty much an argument that could live on forever, why not just state that LoD,DoD is one of the longest metal songs recorded, remove the 5 lines paragraph listing long songs (which other than being lengthy have no relation to this song here) and concentrate on pertinent information to the GC song? Is there a longest metal song list somewhere on Wikipedia? Maybe it can be added there and just noted on the article page that it's one of the longest single-song metal albums and remove the other stuff. --₪ÇɨгςąғџςɨҲ₪ contact me٭
The Length section is cumbersome and pretty much unverifiable. How about "Sun Baked Snow Cave" by Boris, it's 62 minutes long? It would be ok to mention that the album is unique in that it's all one song, but to try to say it's some kind of Guinness record is unnecessary. For all we know, Hellspawn Warhammers of the Nordic Wind wrote a 3 day long song in their garage in Denmark.Kgppra17 05:26, 6 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Blast-beats and death growls.[edit]

Exactly where in this composition does Kobro play blast-beats? Perhaps the writer of this piece confuses double-bass drumming with blast-beats? Also, it is not Nordhus doing the 'death growls'. There are only two words in the lyrics that are screamed for emphasis, performed in fact by guest vocalist Roger Rasmussen. Let us keep our facts straight about this monumental effort. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.181.129.163 (talk) 16:38, 22 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
