Copyvio?

[edit]
I note that this has just passed an AfD but I am concerned that about 90% of it is a direct copyright violation of www.shef.ac.uk/law/staff/acstaff/edwardsl.html -- I felt a prod tag was an appropriate way of bringing this to someone's attention, since it must be dealt with, and so have replaced my initial "db-copyvio" tag with this. I'll try to bring this to the attention of the individual who closed the AfD. Accounting4Taste:talk 19:32, 26 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
90% is a farcical exaggeration. Certain of the facts have been carried over. Since when have facts been subject to copyright? GeorgeLloyd (talk) 07:53, 24 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Picture

[edit]

I am the subject of this page. I am deeply unhappy with the pic being used and tried to delete it. People often use this page to seek blurb and picture for me when I give talks and this is hardly my finest hour :) I am happy to supply another shot (there are plenty on the web in fact) but do not know how to edit Wikipedia to insert . I did try to remove the pic but I see it has been reinstated. If someone would like to get in touch with me you can do so on lilian.edwards@strath.ac.uk . — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.235.207.252 (talk) 14:59, 16 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Lilian -- long time no see. Hope you're doing well! I can help with the picture; just email it to me and I'll upload it for you. Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 11:54, 3 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Possible COI note

[edit]

Just a note to say that I'm a friend of Lilian's; I'm working on the article and believe I can avoid any conflict of interest, but I'm posting a note here so that other editors can check my edits if they wish to. Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 02:31, 11 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Following on from the above, I should note that I've now removed a couple of tags, including a notability tag, since I think that the citations provided give enough evidence of notability. If anyone disagrees, please readd the tag and comment here. Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 05:05, 11 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
