@Trackinfo: Have you ever heard of this athlete? The sources claim that she was the first American 800 m champion and the 1959 Pan American Games champion in the event, but the first honour went to Rayma Wilson[1] while the Athletics at the 1959 Pan American Games did not hold a 800 m event.

The person who wrote this article certainly didn't get facts perfectly correct to the usual standard we are used to on Wikipedia. However I did find two National Championships in the Indoor 440 yard dash, including being the first one in that event. I don't find the third National Championship yet. I also don't find the Pan Am Games. But that claim is repeated here. I haven't found official Pan Am Games results from back that then yet. I did verify the President's Council.
