Lincang City → Lincang — Apparently, this article is only at Lincang City possibly due to copy-and-paste error from Chinese Wikipedia, which uses '市' for any city in China (including Taiwan) at any level. Since 临沧 is a re-direct to 临沧市 in Chinese Wikipedia, that indicates that it is the clear primary topic. Following de facto Wikipedia conventions for naming such cities, if the city is the primary topic, then it does not need the 'city' tag: Shanghai, not Shanghai Municipality. Shenzhen, not Shenzhen City. 华钢琴49 (TALK) 01:21, 5 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Support and encourage any similar moves per nom (except for the Chinese language evidence since the pinyin Lincang could reflect other character combinations even if not in this case). Current title does not reflect English usage. — AjaxSmack 21:58, 15 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
