Sniper?

[edit]

I don't think it has been verified that she has been a sniper? An opposing soldier is said to have claimed that in a newspaper article. I don't think that is enough to put in the text. This could prove to be a crucial point in her sentencing. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ycc swe (talkcontribs) 18:49, 1 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

It has been repeated by multiple RS, including [1]. It is also the reason she is standing trial - other wives are interned pending deportation. She is being tried for murder/terrorism since she is alleged to have shot at the Iraqi forces.Icewhiz (talk) 18:59, 1 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I definitely don't think the link you give or the one in the text can motivate calling her a sniper. the link you give is a general one about women training as soldiers. It seems Wikipedia is going political, that is sad to see. I am not a regular here so I will leave it like this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ycc swe (talkcontribs) 19:21, 1 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
more sources - [2][3]. And of course we have the Iraqi PM saying (referring to Wenzel)- “You know teenagers under certain laws, they are accountable for their actions especially if the act is a criminal activity when it amounts to killing innocent people,” the Prime Minister said in an interview with the Associated Press.[4].Icewhiz (talk) 19:31, 1 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Revert

[edit]

I reverted the update that changed the status of her role as a sniper to unconfirmed since she was prosecuted. (Also I made a typo in the revert description sorry) ShimonChai (talk) 19:23, 13 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

She was prosecuted for marrying an ISIS fighter and only given five years, whereas most of them are executed. Even most of the wives are being executed, to say nothing of those who actually fought. If she had been a sniper there's no way she would have escaped the death penalty. So you need to provide a source for the sniper allegations; I think that was just based on rumors spread early on by Iraqi soldiers. Ryn78 (talk) 10:07, 14 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Appeal Court

[edit]

The verdict on illegal border crossing has been dropped, so the sentence is shortened to 5 years. Plz. correct. source: https://www.mdr.de/sachsen/bautzen/bautzen-hoyerswerda-kamenz/linda-w-pulsnitz-haftverkuerzung-irak-100.html --212.6.192.34 (talk) 15:04, 29 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
