Potential Merge?[edit]

Could this article not be merged with Metabolic pathway? Though the maths seems correct (possibly WP:OR), its not sourced and could perhaps be rewritten more concisely? FChlo (talk) 00:55, 16 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I personally think the differences are a bit too much to be merged. However, I feel like a merge wouldn't be very catastrophic for the topic. It really depends on how the merge would be structured, and how the different information and data would be represented on Metabolic pathway, as it is already a long page. Two possible reasons not to merge: the metabolic pathways page is purely qualitative (though it could be made quantitative), the metabolic pathways page is generic, ie it’s about all pathways whereas as this page is only about a specific kind of pathway, which is a linear chain.
