Dude, no one does it on purpose. It happens by accident... DaHuzyBru (talk) 00:47, 11 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Top aligning dispute[edit]

I maintain that top alignment is unnecessary because it doesn't remove any blank space and makes the page load slowly. The only net benefit is that it is easy to see from the top. But after scrolling down it is hard to see the date, so it is not helpful.—Chris!c/t 01:22, 19 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed! DaHuzyBru (talk) 01:28, 19 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Disagreed!. Anyone scrolling down will have already seen the date in question. This isn't about there being blank space, it's about shifting it to where it doesn't interfere with readers seeing the information they're actually looking for.

On my computer, draft day trades, July 10 trades, and July 10 free-agent signings all have the date appear below the screen showing the first item; I'm sure I'm not the only one that experiences this.

The connection I use isn't a fast one, but I noticed no change in load time with top-aligning the rows.

Not anyone scrolling down will see the date because people typically scroll quickly to go to where they want to read. It is quite easy to go past the date. While top alignment makes it easier to see if you are scrolling down from the top, it makes it harder to see if you are scrolling up from the bottom. Having the date in the middle reasonably accommodates people scrolling up or down. Remember the page is open to everyone, so it should not accommodate you specifically just because you find it more convenient.—Chris!c/t 19:30, 22 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Wayne Ellington and Monta Ellis[edit]

Both are listed in http://www.nba.com/mavericks/roster/2013, but there was no official announcement anywhere else. Should we update them here? Thoughts? —Chris!c/t 02:48, 20 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

NBA.com transaction page has Ellington signed on July 10, Ellis on July 13.
