This page needs massive cleanup and organization. I'm too busy, and frankly, too unmotivated, to do it myself, but a great example to use as a guideline for making this impressive is List of College of William & Mary alumni. Cheers. Jrcla2 talk 21:53, 7 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Is the title "Arizona State University alumni" appropriate for the list. Many of the people listed, especially some of the athletes aren't Arizona State Univeristy alumni as alumni means graduated. They merely attended school a few years while they played. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 148.126.100.82 (talk) 20:58, 21 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The word "alumni" does not mean they have to have graduated. Definition from Merriam-Webster.org: "a person who has attended or has graduated from a particular school, college, or university." By definition, a person who attended classes for one week of a school and then dropped out or transferred is still considered to be a part of its alumni. Notability

[edit]

"In general, a person or organization added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline." - SummerPhD (talk) 18:37, 26 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This is an old comment, but it still applies. Just being given a Founders’ Day Alumni Achievement Award does not make the person notable on Wikipedia. Bahooka (talk) 22:41, 7 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
