The proposed deletion[edit]

In response to the prod: I moved this page off Army Men (series). That entire article is unsourced. I added an unreferenced tag to the top of this article until the problem can be resolved. It's a common problem with most list of video game character pages, I fear. As for referencing this page, I'll try to get that taken care of ASAP. --Miguel Cervantes

If its unsourced, its original research and shouldn't exist and a lot of our video games content suffers from this problem. Interviews are also primary sources and therefore of doubtful provenence. I would normally take this to AFD but as you said you would look into it, I'll leave it a bit. --Spartaz Humbug! 08:21, 6 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I found sources for almost everything, and I deleted the rest. The interview still acts as a source, but it's with Michael Mendheim, one the important developers at 3DO. If there's still a problem with it, the Army Men RTS manual has most of the same information, just in slightly different words. So, to make a long story short, this article is properly sourced and ready to go, if I do say so myself.--Miguel Cervantes 04:43, 7 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I have to agree with you on this one. Great work. --Spartaz Humbug! 06:16, 7 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Air Attack characters[edit]

Should something be done about the Air Attack characters. I'm looking at the manuals for Air Attack and Air Attack 2 on PS1 and there's some interesting things. First the article says Hooligan has no known name. But the manual for Air Attack 2 claim's it's Lt. John Lawless. John Lawless was Hardcore in Air Attack. It's likely his character changed between the two because Hardcore in Air Attack @ is Lt. Jason Larkin, whom the article doesn't mention. Also, there appear to have been two Woodstocks. Lt James Marshall was the original Woodstock in Air Attack and the article says the character was changed for Air Attack 2, but seems to suggest it's the same character. However, the manual for Air Attack 2 lists Woodstock as Lt. Tyrone Livingston. -annonymous 2/14/09 11:46 PM

  • Also, Air Attack gives quote from various individuals on the various copter weapons on page 16 of the manual. One rather interesting quote comes from someone we probably never see in the Air Attack games, one Lt. Darrell "Wily Coyote" (last name isn't given). The quote is listed under the Flares weapon info and would seem to suggest that Wily Coyote may be one of the paratroopers. It reads "Some people like to think that jumping out of a airplane at 15ft, with high explosives strapped to your back is crazy. Ha Wusses..." Both games do uses paratroopers with M-80s who make kamikaze runs on Tan forces when you call them in and for him to be listed as the quoter for the flares weapon does sound like he's a paratrooper, but is never actually seen in the games. - annonymous 2/14/09 11:58 PM. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.64.14.251 (talk) 04:58, 15 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
