Manually maintaining an alphabetic list of Bengali language authors is unnecessary because the same is "automatically" being done in Category:Bengali writers. What we need is a chronological list of Bengali language authors (I'm saying Bengali language author not Bengali author - because we need the list to include writers from all nationality and ethnic background). Manually updating such a list is worth the effort because it gives additional insight into the history of "Bengali Literature". This practice is similar with other major language literature - see List of French language authors.

So, I have created the other list - List of Bengali language authors, and working to gradually move all authors from this page to the new chronological page. Please help me in this task. Once this task is complete we should delete this page. - Arman Aziz 05:31, 22 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
