Top album of the year

[edit]

At separate points in the article, it claims Taylor Swift’s album was the best selling album and that Billie Elish had the best performing album of the year? Is this a contradiction, or is this alluding to separate metrics, like pure sales versus album equivalent units? Sergecross73 msg me 15:21, 12 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Tool/Swift

[edit]

I keep re-adding this sourced commentary because it gained a lot of reliable sources coverage. Not just from music sites, but general media websites:

  1. https://www.cnbc.com/2019/09/09/tools-fear-inoculum-dethrones-taylor-swift-on-billboard-200-chart.html
  2. https://www.nbcnews.com/think/opinion/tool-taylor-swift-fans-clash-culturally-revealing-billboard-battle-heats-ncna1050966
  3. https://www.esquire.com/entertainment/music/a28962895/taylor-swift-tool-lover-fear-inoculum-feud-billboard-chart-number-one/

Certainly enough to warrant a half sentence about it. I’m more than happy to move it into the article body if it being in the caption is an issue. Sergecross73 msg me 15:30, 18 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Additionally, I’ll note that I was accused in edit summaries of removing relevant content additions, but none of my edits removed any additions, they all just re-added my sourced commentary. Sergecross73 msg me 15:45, 18 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
