Use of the term "former"[edit]

Many of the descriptions include the term "former" under Notability. I think this term is unnecessary and having a former occupation is not why they are notable. If years are included that makes the term even more useless. And if a person has died, we can assume they are a former something. Any thoughts about removing this term under Notability?
