Double Up

[edit]

Is there any reason why this list cannot be incorporated into the other chemical lists, as well as Dictionary of chemical formulas? --Russoc4 23:29, 26 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Combining is good, there are a ton of chemical lists. Seem to be some redundancies on Wikipedia, like this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_compounds However, there may be too many compounds to put ALL on Wikipedia, so some divisions may be good, and just link the rest to outside sources (containing millions of records). --Mkcas (talk) 00:52, 13 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Check of CAS numbers

[edit]

When checking the checksums of the CAS numbers (last digit) with my script, I get the below errors. Hermann

Thanks! We'll be sure to look at these! Walkerma (talk) 17:00, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Please add an asterisk at the end when the problem has been fixed, so that we don't have people trying to fix an already-non-problem! Physchim62 (talk) 19:32, 10 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

List of CAS numbers by chemical compound_(Inorganic), Otherwise it confuses readers--124.78.215.110 (talk) 12:18, 2 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I believe that this article has to be splitted with many in the future, as the collection of CA substance book has not got one but heaps

[edit]

Refer to the printed version of CA substance index --124.78.210.114 (talk) 12:55, 11 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I was checking CAS numbers, found this Wikipedia page, then saw one of the links went to a non-English page (now removed), then another link was bad- was redirected, then redirected again. New link put in. But these websites aren't the most prominent ones for CAS # databases, like Pubchem, etc. so these will be added. --Mkcas (talk) 17:28, 26 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Found a couple more relevant chemical databases that might be helpful. Added to bottom of the list. Seem to be better than some of the links already there, and no spammy ads on them. --Mkcas (talk) 00:46, 13 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Why is Ag2Cl2 named after silver(II) dichloride?

[edit]

I think it may be silver(I) dichloride or silver(II,0) dichloride. --Makecat (talk) 02:29, 6 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

silver(III) trichloride(Ag3Cl3), silver(III) triiodide(Ag3I3), silver tribromide(Ag3Br3) as well. I can't believe their existence, otherwise their names are wrong. --Makecat (talk) 02:32, 6 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
