[edit]These airdates of the Powell seasons are incorrect. If anyone has any old TV Guide listings, please post them and put them here. And the order of the episodes are DEAD WRONG and that's not the order of how they appear on DVD (although Season 4 seems a little off). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.83.159.119 (talk • contribs) 01:10, 6 Jun 2009 (UTC)
- I used the air dates from the sources http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0086681/episodes and http://www.tv.com/Charles+in+Charge/show/328/episode.html?season=All&tag=list_header;paginator;All, then I put the episodes in order of those dates. Because every season except the first was in first-run syndication, the original air dates are hard to verify and may be different in each media area. Even if an old TV Guide listing can be found, it may not even be the first air date of that episode. I also don't have the DVDs, so I can't use it as a source either. If you have more sources for information, please bring them up here. --Mysdaao talk 17:05, 8 June 2009 (UTC)
- I see you've been putting a lot of effort into finding sources for episodes of air dates. I have a few questions for you. What is "The Capital" and "The Valley Independent". They sound like newspapers or magazines, and if so, why do you consider them a reliable source for the original (first) air dates of a television series? Why did you change a lot of air dates to "N/A"? There is a source for all those air dates. If you don't have a source that contradicts that information, then the original air dates should remain. I plan to change all dates with "N/A" back to what they were before if there are no objections. Why did you change the section heading for season 2 to begin in 1986? You left the original air date of the first episode of season 2 in the article, which is January 3, 1987 from the sources I used. The article Charles in Charge has always said that syndication began on January 3, 1987, so I don't see any evidence it began in 1986 yet. Without a source for that, I plan to revert that as well. Thanks and let me know what you think. --Mysdaao talk 15:19, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
- I'm reverting changes to season 2 and the first three episodes of season 3. If there's no contradictory source, the air dates from the sources I originally used should remain instead of being changed to "N/A". Also, if you read this, are you sure the air dates from the TV listings you're using are for new episodes? If it explicitly says there's it's a new episode in the sources you used, then we know they're correct. If it says it's a rerun, we know it's definitely not correct. If it doesn't say either way, then we have no idea if the air dates you added are the first air dates of each episode, and that would make them unreliable in my opinion. --Mysdaao talk 22:54, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
