Episodes[edit]

Out of interest, how many episodes are there going to be? - .:. Jigsy .:. 01:11, 7 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That is as of yet, unconfirmed.-- 11:02, 7 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
24. According to the main website, there will be 8 DVDs released, or 24. I really hope that this is just for School Life, and then there will be a second season of 13 after. :( By the way, I'm still alive. A thing called college happened. Sbloemeke 00:01, 9 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
There's no way they won't go into After Story; Ushio is in the OP for one. Anyway, it specifically says there will be three episodes per DVD, and seeing as they list all 8 DVD sale dates, I guess that finalizes it. Such a shame though; this series should have been longer.-- 09:15, 9 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I know. I'm still clutching to that small ounce of hope that there will be 2 seasons, split by Haruhi. Season 1 is school life, and has 24 episodes. Season 2 is after and has 13 episodes. Same OP and ED would explain the appearance of Ushio in the first season. Ah well. Hopefully the translation project will be done soon and I can play it for myself.Sbloemeke 15:57, 9 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I've just been told by two people that it's going to be 22 episodes. ;o - .:. Jigsy .:. (talk) 15:45, 29 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I heard somewhere recently it would be 22 epiodes, plus two omake episodes (like AIR in Summer), at least one of which will be an OVA. Shiroi Hane (talk) 16:01, 29 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Looks like there will indeed be an After Story series. I imagine we should wait until the official announcement though to add it. Leebo T/C 16:01, 27 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It wouldn't hurt to add it now since it's already been confirmed.-- 16:17, 27 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Just a note...[edit]

Just noting that I usually am the first to write the summary here. It is most likely my jumbled memories of what happened. It's not intended to be anything more than a start. :)Sbloemeke 15:41, 12 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Summary length[edit]

Just a note - try not to make episode summaries long or in depth. They should summarize the plot, but not go into extensive detail or serve as a substitute for watching the episodes for the reader. For instance, see List of Fate/stay night episodes, a featured list based on another visual novel, which has quite short summaries. Thanks. FYI, I was involved in pushing that list to featured list status, and I see no reason that this list can do the same thing as soon as the episodes finish airing. First episode was enrapturing. Anyway, kudos to everyone, let's make sure it will hit this milestone without fuss. Sephiroth BCR (Converse) 04:21, 20 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I know, trust me, but it's so difficult. I'm going to have to force myself not to go into excessive details, but thanks for reminding me. I'll attempt to trim down the three summaries so far to a couple of lines (though it will be painful ^^;;).-- 07:18, 20 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It's really hard to write concise summaries that don't sound stilted and don't contain run-on sentences! Leebo T/C 15:13, 16 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Broadcasting[edit]

It should be noted that although the 16:9 version of the anime is being broadcast on the BS-i network, the airdate of that wasn't until 26th October. The original broadcast, in 4:3, was on TBS; and that was the broadcast which started on October 4. ~ DarkS Umbreon (talk) 10:48, 19 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Japanese anime ??[edit]

Anime is always Japanese... It should be either Japanese animation or just anime--81.241.16.116 (talk) 11:09, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It's convention to establish the country of origin regardless of the media. Plus, you can't say with 100% certainty that everyone knows that "anime" implies Japanese animation.-- 11:59, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The original poster has a point, if a bit nit picky. For example, in the entry about katana no where will you see "Japanese katana". Again, in Music of Japan you will not find the phrase "Japanese Min'yō". How about "Japanese animated television series"? That gives the country of origin PLUS doesn't assume everyone knows what the heck anime is! Lloydsargent (talk) 22:22, 12 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Reception[edit]

Just asking because I've never actually seen this done recently, or at all really. Would it be a bad idea to add the reviews and such of the two seasons of the anime to here instead of the main article since the main article already has quite a long section on reception? AngelFire3423 (talk) 23:44, 13 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I think it'd be better to ask the project about this. As it stands, the convention is to put the reception in the main article.-- 01:39, 14 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
