2Pac & N.I.N.A. still on Death Row[edit]

Both 2Pac and Lisa Lopes were signed to Death Row Records at the time of their deaths. Death Row still owns the masters to their recorded material and lists them on their active roster (even on the official site when it's running). This is because they have the rights to release any material from either of the two on any given project under the Death Row label. This has been proven for the last 10 years for 2Pac on almost every Death Row release since his death, and has been proven with Lopes on the Dysfunktional Family soundtrack. Until any official source reads otherwise, it's safe to cite both 2Pac and Lisa Lopes on the active roster. UDStyle Stranded On Death Row 02:06, 1 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think since original Death Row had announced bankrupcy, the I.R.S. sold all of their license rights to make money to pay the dept of the label. Isn't it so? So these two artists cannot be resigned to a new label, but the old one could have lost all of their recordings...Lajbi Holla @ me 12:48, 12 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
No, Suge Knight reportedly still owns the masters and all rights pertaining to Death Row Records. As of yet the only thing that has been sold regarding master recordings is a couple tracks that Suge sold Afeni for the Pac's Life album. In essence, when you file for chapter 11, you do not have to lose any materials owned. Furthermore as of last check Death Row still lists 2Pac and N.I.N.A. in their artist roster. Petey Pablo[edit]

Petey Pablo no longer on Death Row.

Dearly noted and changes have been made to the article accordingly. UDStyle 04:21, 17 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Enemies of Death Row inclusion?[edit]

Is it necessary or appropriate to include this section on a page solely dedicated to the signed artist roster? UDStyle Stranded On Death Row 21:42, 9 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Since no debate about this has taken place I removed the other categories that had nothing to do with artists who had contractual obligations to Death Row Records. Until sufficient reason is given as to why they should be present on this wiki I do not think it is appropriate to have categories such as "Associates of Death Row" and "Past and present enemies" should be included on this article.
