Acording to Cartoon Networks OFFICAL Ed Edd n Eddy Site [1], there are no dashes next to the n. DietLimeCola 05:57, 21 October 2006 (UTC)

Seperate Page?

Is making this a seperate page without protecting it a good idea? After all, most of the EEnE vadalism was in this category... --Wack'd About Wiki 20:00, 27 September 2006 (UTC) ]]

DO IT!!!! And keep it that way. I am so sick and tired of everybody jacking around with this article, which was well written and hadn't had a "cleanup" tag on it since the first of the year. This section is where almost ALL the controversy is. Keep it separated, and I won't even look at it again. I just wonder how long it will be before it's the same jumbled up mess that it was before. -- Elaich 00:55, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
Protection doesn't last forever. I doubt the vandalism will be so rampant as it was with a complied article. – Someguy0830 (Talk | contribs) 06:23, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
It would be a great idea! I swear to god if I see "Eddy Skipper McGee" or "The Mime Trio" again I'm going to hurt someone... DietLimeCola 03:08, 5 October 2006 (UTC)

Moving this to a separate page seems to have helped tremendously with the vandalism problem. -- Elaich 15:46, 26 October 2006 (UTC)

Combine Jonny and Plank?

Like I said before, I don't think Plank is a real character, just a character in Jonny's mind (Because nobody else in the show treats him like a character except Jonny). Would someone combine the two together, and you can just summarize Plank in 1-2 sentances under Jonny 2x4. DietLimeCola 15:25, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

Plank's ability to effect others despite being inanimate is notable in itself, and there's the fact that they've referred to him as a separate being on multiple occasions. He goes beyond your standard imaginary friend. – Someguy0830 (Talk | contribs) 19:41, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
In fact, there may be some debate about how "inanimate" Plank really is. in "Dear Ed", Plank moved on his own. You never actually see him move, but you see the kids pass by and then Plank is one seat to the left of where he was before. This happens at least twice in a row. Also, in one episode, Plank tricks the Eds into getting on the roller coaster they made for him, then suddenly winds up at the rope restraining it and falls down, setting the ride in motion.
Also, in one episode Plank somehow notified Jonny about the Eds breaking his plumbing (Jonny didn't see them do it, but appears to learn of this when Eddy comes outswide with Plank in his hand) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.225.151.104 (talk) 01:13, 7 February 2007 (UTC).

"Also, in one episode." One episode rule, cant you people read the whole page like the notice says, or am I asking too much? DietLimeCola 06:29, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
I read it, but this is just one of many instances where Plank appears to be alive. The "Plank is alive" opinion is based off of many episodes. I just wanted to mention another reason why Plank should be considered alive. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.225.151.104 (talk) 00:22, 8 February 2007 (UTC).
Don't forget another episode in which the Eds built a "city" out of cardboard. At one point, Plank was driving a little toy car and Johnny said "Not you too Plank". Armyrifle 01:06, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
Agreed, Plank is definantly a seperate character. --Piemanmoo 04:51, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

If Plank moved, it's because Jimmy moved him off camera. Plank exists only in Jimmy's mind. It's exactly like Calvin & Hobbes, where Hobbes appeared as a living, sentient being in Calvin's imagination, but if parents were present, was just a stuffed toy. Plank is not a character. He's only capable of any kind of action in Jimmy's imagination. However, the kids have occasionally been affected by Plank because of their own fear and paranoia. Plank himself had nothing to do with it. -- 71.138.27.12 14:54, 12 April 2007 (UTC)

Plank, without a doubt, deserves his own section. There has been plenty of instances of him having a mind of his own. Just look at what happened to Jhonny in "All Ed's are off". But I do agree that Plank is like Hobbes. Namely, the strip where Hobbes ties Calvin to a chair, leaving Calvin's Father to wonder how Calvin did that to himself...

Vandals Banned from the Library

Today all of them (and a few others) were looking at pornography and Japanese Anime Pornography on the computer at the library (Idiots). (And I was the snitch as well, thought it would be a good idea to get these people off the computer because they arent mature enough to use the web let alone wikipedia.) To log into one of the libraries computers here, you need to type in your number and your password. They banned them all from logging in until the start of the new year in January. Hopefully that will give them some time to grow up, considering most of them don't even have a home computer. So hopefully we'll be seeing alot less vandalism here. DietLimeCola 23:04, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

Looks like its the new year already, and their ban has been lifted. I'm not sure if they're into vandalizing Wikipedia anymore, but I can easily find out (thanks to the library's history) if someone is vandalizing this page or others at the library. If so, I might be able to get the vandals blocked from the library again. I've notified the librarian of their actions in the past, but like I said, I don't know if they care about this site anymore. RULES (READ NEW USERS!)

(The following was posted by DietLimeCola and pretty well sums it up.}

Please read this before editing the page.

It seems people are having trouble finding where the rules actually are on this page, but I'll make it easier. Heres a full list of the rules for this page.

  1. One episode rule. If it was mentioned in only one single episode, it doesn't belong here. There are many trivial facts about each and every character (which I believe is actually canon), but the page would be a big mess, therefore these one time facts aren't worth mentioning. Although, there can be exceptions to this rule. First of all, one part mentions a single episode which reveals Jimmy's teeth being destroyed by a bowling pin disguised as a cream horn. This should stay because it gives people the answer to "why" he has the retainer (which was a popular question before it was revealed). Stuff like "Nazz is fat" should not be put in because it was never assumed in the first place she was fat in the past. Another is Eddy's Brother's history with the kids. This explains his relationships with the other kids.
  2. Parents, characters alter-egos, and other kids shall not be added. They do not have a dense personality like the kids, and never appear. I realize one episode Ed's mom or aunt, and Eddy's dad pulls them off screen, but this refers back to the one episode rule. Their parents are not characters, like I stated above, they have little to no personality, and were just there to finish off the plot. Same goes with the Lemon Brook Lumpers, the school nurse, and other one shots. alter-egos should not be added either because it once again, breaks the one episode rule.
  3. Double D's hat. It is a mystery of whats under there, and the videogame "lunchroom rumble" is not canon, because it wasn't made by AKA Cartoon. This goes for fanfics too, fanfics are not canon.
  4. Rolf's country has no name, and shall remain that way. This country is a fictional country made by Danny. He chose Rolf to be from a fictional country so he could make up several foreign ways to make the stories, plots, and his overall character more interesting. If he was from a specific real country, there would be a limit to what Rolf could do.
  5. Superhuman strength. All characters can possess unrealalistic strength at anytime to keep the story going along, it's used in many, many old cartoons.
  6. Jimmy is not a homosexual. He looks up to Sarah as an older sister, and tends to imitate her because he wants to be just like her. More evidence that supports this is "Ed in a halfshell", where Sarah leaves Jimmy with the Ed's. Jimmy for a short time, looks up to Ed and Eddy, therefore he begins acting similar to them. This comment about Jimmy looking up to people should not be added to the page, but it proves that Jimmy is not a homosexual. That's all I can think of right now, if anyone wants to add anything I missed or forgot, feel free. DietLimeCola 02:19, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
  7. Grades and other school records should not be added. While it is highly likely what was revieled in the report card episode is true, (i.e. Ed and Eddy's Fs, Rolf's D in typing) this breaks the one-episode rule, and should not be added. Wack'd About Wiki 19:02, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

Jimmy and "homosexuality"

(This is copied from the other discussion page, which is inaccessible from here.)

The comment about Jimmy being "homosexual" was removed because it is an opinion, and without evidence in the show. Assuming that one stereotyped Jimmy's preference with Sarah or fragility. This does not imply homosexuality.

Good job. How can a 7 or 8 year old boy be homosexual? Too much fanmongering in this subject, and too many kids who can't spell and can't write always adding strange adolescent takes on things that are quite normal. Since the article is now well written, maybe protection is the way to go.--Elaich 07:11, 8 December 2005 (UTC)

It should be indicated as effeminate. A example would be Ignatius from Krypto the Superdog.

yea, but the makers do play with his "childishness". i remember in one of the episodes he says "show me something mister!" after throwing beads to double d. also in another episode when double d was sleeping basically through the whole thing, jimmy and sarah take him in as a patient. later in the episode when the pair sees him again, jimmy exclaims"i want to take his temperature!" he was also an interior decorator in one of the episodes Kooshkaboose

I agree. being described as "effeminate" doesn't necessarily make you gay. just ask king cold or jafar. --Philo 06:06, 23 July 2006 (UTC)

I agree as well. It has never been said by any of the staff of the series that Jimmy is officially homosexual. Actually, it has been more hinted that he has a crush on Sarah than that he is homosexual. Black Kat 16:26, 4 September 2006 (UTC) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 75.28.50.141 (talkcontribs) .

Why would they put a homosexual character in a kids show anyway? DietLimeCola 02:01, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
In many Japanese Anime aimed at younger viewers, there are homosexual characters, but this is often removed in the American Dubs so as not to offend Christians. Anyway, Jimmy has been shown to be violently attracted to Sarah (during Sarah's temporary infatuation with Double-D, he sadistically crushed a very rare flower, dismembered a teddy bear with his teeth, and kicked Eddy repeatedly while saying he wanted Sarah back). He probably acts effeminate because he "loves" Sarah so much that he imitates her to rediculous degrees, though he will also do this with anyone who offers themselves to him as a role model (such as Ed and Eddy). --Zenosaga 00:18, 8 January 2007 (UTC)

The "I want to take his temperature" line could hint at his possible homosexuality.

People, stop with the hints! Jimmy is not a homo. He's just flamboyant. I know, I'm the show's #1 fan. (not really)--989 RVD 02:36, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

Please stop it.

I keep adding that Rolf is possibly from Germany or Austria, and someone keeps removing it. I have proof of the mild hinting, which is in one episode (Wish You Were Ed")it shows a picture of him in "the old country" wearing lederhosen, something ecslusive to Gemany and Austria. Again, Please stop removing that!!!

The creator of the show is constantly telling people Rolf is not supposed to be from a specific country, but more of an idealist place, like Peach Creek. Thus, any "proof" you may have is irrelivant, because if Rolf isn't from a specific country, like the creator says, than there is no possibility that Rolf is from Germany or Austria, just like there is no possibility the Peach Creek in the show can be found on any map. --Wack'd About Wiki 14:43, 3 December 2006 (UTC

This is inadmissable evidence because it was shown in only one episode. Rolf's diet also consists mainly of seafood. Should we then assume he is from an island? It's all speculation, and contrary to what Danny Antonucci states in the article that is cited. -- 75.7.153.51 20:46, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

That was just one exsample of the possibility of him being German, another being that he uses a language that sounds like German. Also, the creator does not make every single decision for how the charactor acts. There could be a possiblity that someone on the writing staff is the cause. P.S. I'm sorry for any misspelling and/or grammer errors, I've had a problem with that this week.

Right...so the writer is all like "Oh, you know what? I'm going to put proof in this episode that Rolf is German, dispite the fact that the show's creator, director, and my boss doesn't want Rolf to be from Germany." The creator has complete control over his own show, and directs every episode. I don't think he'd let something like that slide. Also, Rolf speaks English. He does not speak in any foreign language, and if he did, I'm sure the creative staff would be careful about not making is sound like a specific language. --Wack'd About Wiki 00:51, 4 December 2006 (UTC)

Even if a writer on the show feels that Rolf might be from Germany, it still stands that Danny has the final say in everything. The reason you see Rolf doing stuff from other cultures because Rolf's culture is a MIXTURE of many cultures around the world, and the people included their own wacky customs to make the character entertaining. Also, if he was from a specific place, the writers couldn't make Rolf do the crazy stuff he usually does. I mean, what culture puts eels down their pants? DietLimeCola 08:44, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

I'm not saying he is, but Germans do pretty crazy things.

Like this.

Rolf is from a unnamed European country that Danny made-up. Hence his fictional culture can be a patchwork of the European countries that are near to it (such as Norway, since he is familiar with Norwegian celebrities), and even some Asian countries (like India, as he has a locket shaped like an elephant and some basic similarity to the Indian ethnicity). Hence, if you observe Rolf extensively, you will notice his culture is patched together from various European and Asian cultures, plus a few things made up by Danny (like Yeshmiyeh, the "goddess" of hard work and meat products). --Zenosaga 00:24, 8 January 2007 (UTC)

Did anybody by chance see the episode where Edd's pen pal, who is apparently from Norway, is feared by Rolf for some reason which I currently cannot recall? That would tell me he's from Norway. --ChrisP2K5 06:52, 22 January 2007 (UTC)

Didn't you read those comments above? Rolf is not from a specific country and that would be speculation (Wikipedia is not a crystal ball) and fancruft (the pen pal only was in one episode). If you added that he was from Norway, it will be reverted since there is a link to an interview with Danny Antonoucci (also on this article under Rolf's section). It is purposely never stated which country he's from in that interview. Squirepants101 13:18, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
  • Just because Rolf knows a famous prankster from Norway is supposed to mean that Rolf is from Norway? Please. Read the references to "breaking the fourth wall" and then what the fourth wall is. Any hint that Rolf is from a specific country is just the the writers teasing you. Also, Ed, Edd n Eddy is one of the few cartoons written on 2 levels, one to appeal to children, one to appeal to adults. There are many sly references in this show that a person simply wouldn't get if they were under 30. It's understandable that children would not understand them. -- 71.138.27.12 15:01, 12 April 2007 (UTC)

Backslashes before apostrophes

Will the person who is doing this PLEASE STOP???? There is absolutely no reason for it except vandalism. I believe I got them blocked, but that won't last long. -- 75.7.153.51 18:03, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

Last name vandalism?

One time,I saw that Ed's last name was Dane. Then it was chaned to Stupidstmith, and then the other ch. had last names too! Are they real,or are they vandalism? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Crazysonicfeet (talkcontribs) 02:19, 6 December 2006 (UTC).

Not vandalism as much as people getting comic books and fanfiction mixed up with the cartoon. In the cartoon, no last names have ever been revealed. That is what is canon for this article. -- 75.7.153.51 02:08, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

What is the PROBLEM with this edit?

Look: [2] [3] Once again, the unregistered person keeps reverting my edits. This time, its because this is "not needed". I moved the cast list from the Ed Edd n Eddy page to here, because it makes more sence because the actors are voicing the CHARACTERS. EVERYTIME i try to add something to an EEE page its also the IP guy reverting it, I'm sick of this crap. There is absolutly NOTHING wrong with these edits, there are several pages that have the voice actor listed under the character profile.

Do you understand how frustrating it is to contribute to a page and then just get reverted for little to no reason? You have not stated one GOOD reason why these edits don't belong. I dont care if the cast list was on the main page since the beginning, they are better off here. Stop being bossy, for the hundreth time, YOU DO NOT OWN THIS PAGE. DietLimeCola 06:37, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

Nor do you own it, DietLimeCola. The structure of the page has been accepted for a long time. Now, you come on the scene, and decide to change it, just because it makes sense to you. The great thing about Wikipedia is that anybody can make edits, but the community decides what edits to keep, and what edits to revert. Just because you decide that the voice actors are better on the characters page does not make it right. Many people have tried to list the voice actors under the character: in every case, it was reverted, and never by me (until this time.) The community has spoken.

Read the guidelines of Wikipedia: it is implicitly stated that your edits will be edited by others. If you can't stand that, maybe you ought to set up a fan page where you can control anything and everything. Then you alone can judge your popularity by hits on your page.

You are not contributing: you are attempting to own the article. You never discuss your edits. You just do them, and then you only complain on the discussion page when somebody reverts. -- 75.7.153.51 07:30, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

Yeah yeah thats very nice, but you didn't state WHY you made the revert in the first place. I am not attempting to own this page, I'm just trying to contribute, and you keep preventing me from doing that for little to no reason. The community isn't choosing to keep the edits the way they were before, YOU ALONE are. I only complain when YOU revert, because you usually have no reason to do so, and its beyond frustrating. And yes, you should read the guidelines of Wikipedia yourself. And please, show me these reverts of people removing voice actor credits in the character profiles, because I've never seen on myself, I'm not doubting, I want to see them though.
Once again, you did not state why you made the reverts and how the edits I made were damaging the article. So please, tell me. P.S. Dont lie on my talkpage that I erased comments placed there. That was a pure flat out lie to make me look bad. DietLimeCola 08:10, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

Someone who wants to know who the voice actors are should be able to find out by reading a short list, rather than having to go to another page, and scroll down to each character in order to find out. -- 75.7.153.51 19:24, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

THANK YOU, finally you have a reason for removing my edits. How about this, lets move the cast list to this page, instead of putting each individual actor/actress under their character? DietLimeCola 19:19, 10 December 2006 (UTC)

Note: On wikiquote, someone keeps putting in fake quotes. Look at "an Ed is born" and see for yourself. (at the bottom)

More character info

I have put on more character info, and if you do mot believe it, I will explain what episode it happened in/came from. So, I hate to be rude, but if you think there is too much info, perhaps you could make pages about the character(s). Thank you. User:Firedracax 9:35, 31 December 2006 (UTC)

  • I deleted your additions. They consisted of fancruft. This is an encyclopedia article, not a fan page. Also, we have a "one episode" rule here - if it only happened in one episode, it is not canon and not worthy of mention. Many things have happened one time, and are merely distortions of reality in the EEnE world, like Nazz being fat, and Ed being a genius. Also, separate character pages have been discussed in the past, and always rejected. Once again, this is an encyclopedia, not a fan page. Thank you. (P.S. It looks like your computer is about 10 days ahead of real time, as evidenced by the date of your post.)-- 67.117.25.182 15:26, 21 December 2006 (UTC)

Things that will not stay here

I think that we should post specific guidelines about what will be reverted here on sight. Too many things crop up all too often. I guess we assume that newbies actually read the discussion page, right. ;)

1. One episode rule.

EEnE is famous for having it's history rewritten to engage a plot line in a single episode. Thus, things that happened in only one episode are not canon, and will not remain. Example: Rolf is German because he wore lederhosen in one episode; Rolf is Norwegian because he knows a Norwegian prankster in one episode; Ed is an accomplished flute player because he imitated the Pied Piper in one episode; Nazz used to be obese (a time shifting episode at that;) and so on and so on.

2. Jimmy is a homosexual.

Jimmy is 8, or at best, 9. He is a child. There is no such thing as a homosexual child. This will be reverted on sight by many editors.

3. Superhuman strength.

Nearly all the characters have displayed superhuman strength. This is merely an overworked cartoon cliche' dating back to the beginning of cartoon time.

4. Fancruft.

Fancruft is a term used in Wikipedia to imply that a selection of content is of importance only to a small population of enthusiastic fans of the subject in question. While "fancruft" is often a succinct and frank description of such accumulations, it also implies that the content is unimportant and the contributor's judgement of notability is lacking.

Fancruft in EEnE is common, and often assumes the format of rambling sentences added to the end of a section. It really is not relevant that "Ed did (such and such) in (this episode) and Eddy said (blah blah blah.) Please see "one episode rule" above."

4. What's under Edd's hat.

Many people here have used video game evidence to try and prove what is under Edd's hat. Video games are not relevant here. This is an article about the cartoon Ed, Edd n Eddy. No clue has ever been given in the cartoon about what is under Edd's hat, except that Ed and Eddy know what it is, and were awestruck over it.

If anybody else has more to add, please do. I tried to think of more. -- 67.117.25.182 04:26, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

People shouldn't add characters with no personality such as Eddy's Dad, and the football players in "Tight End Ed". They were mainly used as props to move the storyline along.

Eddy's dad acts like a typical dad, Ed's mom acts like a typical mom, the football players act like typical football players, the nurse acts like a typical nurse, and the teachers act like typical teachers. They have no personality at all, therefore, are not characters. It's merely hints to the audience that there are actually more people in the area than the 12 kids. To keep the 12 character rule intact, they are shown as silhouettes, shadows, or an arm reaching on screen.

Besides, giving them actual personality while having them interact with the characters would break the important 12 character rule in the show. Characters like Eddy's brother are okay (who has an actual personality), because he isn't actually in the cul-de-sac while interacting with the other characters with the show. Most mentioning of the parents are just one time jokes anyway. Put it simply, the only characters on the show are the 12 kids and Eddys brother, no more, no less. There will never be any more characters on the show either.

We may not get along "Ip Guy", but I'm glad we can at least agree on something.

P.S. I added a hidden comment to the page that can only be seen when somebody is editing the article. Hopefully this will help.

DietLimeCola 08:23, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

    • 5. Mentions of adult arms and Jonny as Ed's mom in his dream. -- 67.117.25.182 15:32, 28 December 2006 (UTC)

Idea

Should we include Santa and Glippo? Glippo was seen in Ed and Seek. Santa Claus was seen in Jingle Jingle Jangle. Bob 2.0

No, because they aren't characters. DietLimeCola 02:45, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
  • Is that all? Bob 2.0
  • Then what about Plank's Parents or Mr. Yum Yum? Bob 2.0

Bob 2.0, please read all the discussion pages, even the archived ones. This stuff has been beaten to death already. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 70.140.219.56 (talkcontribs) .

All of the ones listed above are not characters. Plank is part of Jonny's character, Plank's Parents do not have any personality what so ever except in Jonny's imagination. Mr. Yab Yab (Not yum yum) is a TOY, and its personality is based off Jimmy's. Sawtoothseesaw was a one time character just used to make the plot go through, and has no personality what so ever. Bob was a replacement attempt for Plank, so his personality would be in Jonny's imagination as well. Please, unless we see another living, breathing human being's whole body on screen talking and communicating with the other characters, no more characters should be added. DietLimeCola 16:37, 3 January 2007 (UTC)

  • Then what about

Girda- the goat mucker(Refered to by Rolf) Hyuk- Eddy's Korean Penpal Candy Store Owner- Self explanitory Bob 2.0

What part of "Please, unless we see another living, breathing human being's whole body on screen talking and communicating with the other characters, no more characters should be added." Don't you understand? None of these were shown on screen talking and interacting with the characters. Please give it up, no more characters are going here, sorry. DietLimeCola 01:27, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
  • Then why don't we make a page about unimportant characters. Even if they are as you call is props or toys. Bob 2.0
Not all characters should be listed on these "list of characters" articles nor should they have articles. See WP:TV#Characters. Squirepants101 02:21, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
  • Then what about Carl, Hugo and Suset. Although they were Eddy in disquise they did have their own personality, body and have interacted with the Kids. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bob 2.0 (talkcontribs)
  • I truly believe that the charcters (Execpt Eddy's Brother, the Kankers, and Plank, who can be part of Jonny's) should have there own seperate pages. I mean, come on! New shows like Camp Lazlo, The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy have bios. Ed, Edd n Eddy is the longest running, and is one of the, nay, the most popular cartoon. So, why is it dwindling? Who cares about fancrusts? They use them all the time on shows like Family Guy, and people have just written it, and ended it with something like "However, this may not be canon." besides, people may want to know the fancruft info. Also, about the post above, you could put a small peice of Carl in Eddy's (Future) page, but only briefly mention Hugo and Suzanne, as they only appeared for a few seconds. So PLEASE, could we make seperate pages? (or by the least, extend the pages?) I meant seperate pages for the 12 main Characters. The toys are just toys.-Firedracax

    • Because, Firedracax, Ed, Edd n Eddy is SET at 12 characters. Other cartoon series have any number of characters. EEnE is by design set at 12 characters. This is what makes it different, and why, even though shadows of other people are sometimes seen, they are never developed, never given a personality, usually only appear in one episode, and are forgotten afterward. That is why they are NOT characters in EEnE, and should not get mention as such in this article. I hope this explains it to you. -- Elaich 09:43, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
    • I meant that each of the 12 kids gets his or her own page. - Firedracax
Then what would be the point of this list if we made articles of all the kids. The article is less than 30 kilobytes (see Wikipedia:Article size) and if articles were made, they'd all be tagged as stubs. I think the article is fine the way it is right now. Squirepants101 21:32, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
  • Enough!!! I made this section to put sugestions for expanding the character list. Bob 2.0
  • I'm out of ideas. Bob 2.0
  • Wait, how about the "people" that Jonny said Plank new who scared Ed up a tree while holind Edd and Eddy. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bob 2.0 (talkcontribs)

^Maybe you just stop editing this article, Bob 2.0, since all of you edits have been reverted, and your spelling skills leave a great deal to be desired. -- 75.28.50.45 00:55, 22 January 2007 (UTC)

-Groans- you just don't get it, do you Bob? DietLimeCola 13:49, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
  • I have an idea, at the end of every character paragraph, write about their alter ego's [ex. Average Joe(Ed),Hugo(Eddy), Wonder Wood (Plank)] or at least write a seperate paragraph right after each that lists non-canon info about the person (ex. Nazz's obesity and Ed/Sarah's superhuman strength). I HAVE READ THIS ENTIRE DISCUSSION PAGE!!!!
  • Write a list of characters that do not have personalities at the end of the page.

Here's an example:

Eddy's dad

Ed's Aunt

Kankers' Dad(s) ect...........

—Preceding unsigned comment added by Bob 2.0 (talkcontribs)

It is my belief that everything in this show is canon, but the question comes around: is it worth mentioning? Each character has several interestiong facts about themselfs and what they have done, and if its done in only one episode, its cruft. Alter Ego, Hugo, Wonder Wood, have all been in ONLY one episode. All of your suggestions break the one episode rule, if we keep adding little ammounts of trivial bits about the characters, then there will be debates on what exactly is mentioned there. The page is fine as it is anyways. DietLimeCola 06:35, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
  • Maybe Bob 2.0
  • Hey Diet Lime, remember when you said if their whole body was seen. Glippo did just that! His whole body was seen and Ed was associated with him or something. And maybe he had a cameo later on like in Sarah's room. Bob 2.0

Bob... just leave. No other characters are to be added, PERIOD. If you arent going to contribute and just suggest one shots then you shouldn't be here. DietLimeCola 03:15, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for showing the world just how mature you are. Goodbye and good riddance. DietLimeCola 04:35, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

Walter Sobchack

Was a character in the movie The Big Lebowski. It is no more Edd's last name than "Mater" is Ed's. No last names have ever been revealed in this cartoon. -- Elaich 05:48, 8 January 2007 (UTC)

Good find! None of the characters have last names except the Kankers. DietLimeCola 09:30, 8 January 2007 (UTC)

Sorry for bring back any fancruft

I guess I forgot about the many rules posted on this page or I didn't realize what I was doing was wrong. I hope that the other editors of the page will forgive me. Now I feel ashamed for this. Squirepants101 13:32, 8 January 2007 (UTC)

It's cool. I was just reverting the edits made by the infamous IP guy because hes still supposed to be blocked but he's still breaking the rules by avoiding the ban. If anyone wanted to remove the cruft I revereted, that he previously removed go ahead. DietLimeCola 19:24, 8 January 2007 (UTC)
IP...? Who's he and what types of edits does he make? - Firedracax
Acutally, you mean IPs because this user is currently experimenting with Linux. Anyways, the user is a user who constantly reverts a revision when someone adds cruft to Ed, Edd n Eddy-related pages. He started editing Ed, Edd n Eddy pages around June 2006 and claims that he has an account. Sometimes he forgets to log-in or he thinks it's a better advantage not to log-in at all. He has gotten into some disputes, mainly with DietLimeCola (which seems to be resolved). One time, he tried to "prove" that DietLimeCola was a vandal by accusing him of being a sockpuppet of TheHardlyBoys by making lies up, including the nonexistant "user agreement." Two days ago, he was blocked for two days for violating the three-revert rule. The violation involved an edit war with an IP address who kept changing Double-D to Double-Dee. Even after the IP address provided a source that Double-D was also called Double-Dee, the IP still called him/her a vandal. Since then, he tried to evade the now-lifted block by changing IP addresses. Squirepants101 22:45, 8 January 2007 (UTC)
He'll probably get reblocked for avoiding the ban, but Viriade, the one who blocked him one of his new IP Addresses, hasn't made any edits for about a day and a half, its only a matter of time until he comes back and reblocks (it might not matter for him to block the IP addresses who have already avoided the blocks though, the IP guy probably has a new IP address by now). DietLimeCola 00:16, 9 January 2007 (UTC)

It really makes very little difference whether it's spelled "Double D" or "Dee," but I don't consider either of the proofs to be credible. In the interview, that's merely how Kit spelled it. Doesn't mean she's right. The menu says "Dee" but the Eds are famous for misspelling everything, so I don't consider that proof, either. After all, they spelled "energy drink" as "enogee." -- Elaich 01:02, 9 January 2007 (UTC)

The "Mime Trio/fairy" vandal is back

Look at the latest edits. I issued a last warning to 68.37.205.18 for posting the fictional fairy characters again, and a new user called Ronnuhel turns up posting the same garbage. -- Elaich 05:36, 9 January 2007 (UTC)

Therse been more than one user name that has posted that stuff. Sock puppet abuse, someone should report him. DietLimeCola 05:39, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
    • Maybe one of your library vandal friends? They posted similar stuff. -- Elaich 06:04, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
I can go check, but probably not. This ip [4] made the same edits as the registered user. This one lives in New Jeresy, while the library is located in Livermore, CA. If vandals want to add stupid crap, they can do so here [5] DietLimeCola 08:53, 9 January 2007 (UTC)\

It's not nearly as much fun to add stupid crap to a site designed for it, as to wreck a site that is supposed to be serious in nature. Where do they get this stupid Mime Trio crap from to begin with? I'll bet it was in a comic book. Also, don't put too much faith in WHOIS and reverse lookup. If someone is using AOL, he can appear to live almost anywhere, depending on which node he gets connected to. -- Elaich 15:47, 9 January 2007 (UTC)

The Library doesn't use AOL. As for the Mime Trio, I did a quick two minute google search and found out there is a real Mime Trio in Switzerland [6]. There might be a real Mime Trio, but they don't exist in the Ed, Edd n Eddy universe. As for the fairy tale crap, that stuff was stolen from The Fairly Oddparents. DietLimeCola 18:47, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
Aha! I think I know who this "Ronnuhel" user is. I think this is a sockpuppet of Donnyjake (talk · contribs) (which I suspect is a sockpuppet of indefinitely blocked user Danny Daniel (talk · contribs), see WP:LTA#Danny Daniel and sockpuppets), not that Mime Trio vandal because Ronnuhel edited a page that Donnyjake created, which is Ricky Martin (The Fairly Oddparents). Another reason I think this vandal could be Donnyjake and possibly Danny Daniel is because his username sounds similar to Ronnys (talk · contribs) (an indefinitely blocked sockpuppet of Danny Daniel). Squirepants101 01:54, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
I'm pretty sure its him, I investgated "their" edits, and he was also making edits to a cartoon network show named "Monk", as well as adding "The Inuyasha Jake Power Hour" (A crossover of Inuyasha and My Gym Partner's a Monkey. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by DietLimeCola (talkcontribs) 04:56, 10 January 2007 (UTC).

I issued a final warning to Ronnuhel for his last vandalism. The next time he does it, take the appropriate action, which is to report him at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WP:AIV. -- Elaich 02:12, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

Whoa, did anyone check out the edits made by this guy? [7]. He needs mental help, because that was just... UGH! DietLimeCola 00:31, 14 January 2007 (UTC)

What he writes is a very bad influence to the children who read these and other pages. I have never seen such half-assed crap in such my life. I am sorry for the cursing, but what he writes sickens me to no end. I truly believe he should be Banned parmanently. -Firedracax, 6:45, 14 January 2007

Edits missing from "history?"

I am constantly running across edits in the article that never showed up in history. Do the vandals have some way of blocking this, or is it just a bug? -- 71.139.246.235 06:00, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

There was a set of edits that revealed somebodys phone number, so that was deleted. I'm not sure what else was, but if it was, it was probably for a very good reason. DietLimeCola 08:35, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

Edd (spoiler)

Is it worth mentioning that Edd and May might have a slight crush on eachother? In the Valentine's Day episode it seemed to hint so (and this is after the cherub arrows had worn-off). Black Kat 19:35, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

Where? I don't remember any hints.

(Search youtube for Valentine's episode for more info)

Black Kat 21:07, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

Sorry I had to remove that, but watching episodes online without the authors permission is against the law. Valentines day is the "last" episode in the chronological order of the show. (Season 1-4 summer, season 5 in Fall, season 6 in winter, valentines day in winter, slowly entering spring.) So it is not worth mentioning, because it isnt happening in the other episodes. (Because in season 5/6, "Valentines day" technically hasn't come yet) DietLimeCola 18:42, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
Actually it could be the first (It could have taken place the previous year) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.225.151.104 (talk) 20:55, 16 February 2007 (UTC).

Question to Elaich

I'm wondering how come the part with Jimmy being effeminate but truly wanting muscles was erased by you. He's displayed more than once he desires to be. Just so I know. Thanks. Black Kat 21:07, 11 February 2007 (UTC)

  • I think I've explained this before. Assigning adult sexual characteristics to a small child is improper. DietLimeCola seems to have the correct take on Jimmy - that he behaves as he does because he is younger, has no male peers, and so seeks out Sarah as his best friend. I've seen many boys who behave in this manner completely change as they grow older. That's why. -- Elaich 15:12, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
How is him wanting to be strong go with sexuality? Black Kat 17:49, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
I don't care anything about the wanting to be strong part of it. I think that's well established. I deleted the whole sentence because of the effeminate badge. -- Elaich 02:54, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
Oh, ok. I'll try to reword it then. Black Kat 18:32, 18 February 2007 (UTC)

I just don't understand.

I don't understand, why are people still adding stuff that breaks the rules? Comments are on the main page telling people what not to add to characters profiles, telling people to read the rules on this page, I even moved my post about the rules to the top of the page. YET, it just won't stop. Is there any way we can stop this from happening, because I'm fresh out of ideas. DietLimeCola 04:47, 22 February 2007 (UTC)

It's been happening since this article was written. Now do you see why myself and others reacted to you and your library friends the way we did when you first showed up? There is no way to stop it, and posting guidelines in the article may actually cause others to want to break them just to get us riled up. I'm sure that's what happened on 2/21. -- Elaich 18:18, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
I've noticed that some users, including Elaich, sometimes call "fancruft" vandalism, but it's not according to WP:VAND#Types of vandalism. Besides, the article on fancruft is an essay, not a policy or a guideline. Squirepants101 13:31, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
I know the difference beteen fancruft and vandalism. The fancruft that was added here on 2/21 was done in a vandalistic way. Not only were the guidelines intentionally broken, but the posted guidelines themselves were edited. For instance, someone added ages, and then edited out the part that stated that ages were not going to be allowed to remain. That is intentional, and that makes it vandalism. Vandalism is not about content, but intent. -- Elaich 18:15, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
Those vandals weren't probably anyone new, because they know what presses our buttons - they know the rules to the page, yet they intentionally break them just to make us mad. It's probably the same people from previous edits, could be the mime trio guy, the fairy guy, or maybe one of those library guys. (I don't talk to them anymore though) DietLimeCola 21:37, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
Well, the good news is that with the new vandalism I have a reason to help out again. Hi, everyone - remember me? I wouldn't be suprised if you didn't, because Wikipedia hasn't worked on my computer in a while. I'll be watching this page again, and will try to help any way I can. --Wack'd About Wiki 16:02, 18 March 2007 (UTC)

Jonny 2x4

I know it's said you aren't supposed to add 2x4 to his name, but is it a problem to put in the section that he is sometimes referred to as "Jonny 2x4" by the other kids? I was about to put to it, until I noticed the attention section before editing. Figured I might as well ask incase either 2x4 isn't at all allowed or if something like that doesn't matter. Black Kat 20:25, 27 February 2007 (UTC)

actually, i was wondering - why aren't you supposed to add it? in the credits of the show, he's listed as "Jonny 2x4" —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 212.25.36.54 (talk) 17:49, 10 March 2007 (UTC).

Requested for Semi-Protection

I nominated this page for semi protection [8] Fancruft (which I consider vandalism because people are specifically told not to add fancruft), has been getting way out of control lately. I feel this would be best for the page, and would eliminate most vandalism edits (because most vandalism edits are coming from unregistered users) DietLimeCola 19:33, 28 February 2007 (UTC)

Minor Characters?

Why the @#%# are the Kankers minor characters? They do appear in a lot less episodes than the other characters but that doesn't mean they're minor!

Good suggestion. Black Kat 19:20, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
They are minor in comparison, and it is perfectly possible to have an episode without them. -- Elaich 04:07, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
In my opinion, the Ed's are the only 3 main characters. Everyone else is just "other characters" including the Kankers, Kevin, Sarah, Nazz, ect. --Piemanmoo 04:48, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
