Problems with this list

[edit]

while i like the idea of a list of literary presses, this may be too big and vague to be useful. see List of small presses for similar issues. almost all major publishers have had some literary content. if the list included all the small presses that do this, it would almost be a list of all publishers. same problem with list of publishers. i think most of these lists should have a comment next to each publisher stating very briefly their significance. red links should probably also have external links or inline refs to help. moved and trimmed

[edit]

i moved this article to reflects its status as a stand alone list. i did a quick websearch, eliminiating the very small publishers that could probably not get an article in WP. others are left with weblinks. they need to have a sentence written about who they are, or a stub article written. if anyone wants to add publishers i removed, please just try to show notability (reviews, media coverage, importance of authors, etc). and there is NO way that this list can contain all publishers of literary works. larger publishers would defeat the purpose (though literary imprints of larger publishers would be fine i think), and listing every small press that has published any work of self proclaimed literature defeats the whole purpose of this encyclopedia. it may seem harsh, cause a lot of smaller presses are sincerely adding to our culture, but we have to establish notability to be in WP. agreed?
