Question or Discrepancy About Season Two's premier[edit]

According to Animal Planet, Season 2 actually started/premiered on January 2nd and I believe the episode the article has listed as the first/premier episode where they recreated the Gimlin footage was just a special episode between the two seasons. Though I cannot be clear on the Gimlin episode, I am pretty certain I remember hearing the Animal Planet network stating that the episode airing on January 2, 2012, was the season two premier.
