I had a issue :)[edit]

I have a better idea, it is twenty years from 2000 to 2020. But I have a curiosity, they may or may not move, such as: List of Florida hurricanes (2000–2020). It's because they were already enough for those articles and by 2021 due to the number of hurricanes they will be coming between the Q3 and Q4 2021. I don't agree with this. The other articles span 25 years and to maintain consistency it would be 2000–2024. However, we don't report on the future so that's why 2000–present is used. – The Grid (talk) 00:20, 13 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Number of deaths and Hurricane Ian[edit]

As we add more deaths to the Ian death toll, we should be careful to make the tally to apply to deaths from the hurricane in Florida. So, we should be mindful that death tolls given in the media include deaths that occurred in the Carolinas. Lede/leading images[edit]

Since I have been reverted a few times already, the leading image on the article shouldn't automatically reflect the newest storm. There's already an image in the 2022 section and having Hurricane Michael is sufficient. The usage of the newest storms at the top reeks of WP:RECENTISM regardless of their intensity - do remember this article spans 25 years! Ian has done more damage and deaths than Michael so if you’re going to remove a picture it should be Michael not Ian Italyoz484 (talk) 13:57, 13 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

For a few years now the lead image on this page has been that of 2018 Hurricane Michael, the strongest hurricane to hit the state during the time period covered by the article. There should only one lead image, and that image should be of Michael, until / unless a stronger hurricane hits in this or one of the next two seasons.
