I am having some real problems uncovering the production codes for this show's episodes. CTVA's Gilligan web site lists the codes as nothing more than sequential numbers in air date order, beginning with 1001 and running thru 1098. But tv.com gives production numbers that begin with 07xx. However the list is incomplete as many of the episodes do not have a number attached to it. I just got hold of Sherwood Schwartz's book "Inside Gilligan's Island" and in it are photos of props created for the show. Some of these production drawings have labels on them that include a production code, but they are listed as 1625-07xx. This seems to completely discount the 10xx production codes previously listed. Also the 07xx codes I have found do not mirror air date order and therefore seem to make more sense. I will insert the 07xx codes that I can find and hope someone will know how to fill in the blanks. --TnKs daddy 05:42, 12 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I also believe the 8th episode,The Big Gold Strike; was the first appearence of the clam shelled golf club and the avocado pit golf ball! Roger H Jan 17th 2009

NOT TV GUIDE

[edit]

This list is so concise it provide no more information than a TV guide, and is therefore non encyclopedic -- and violates not spoiler -- for example 2.2 reads: " After an eventful contest, Gilligan chooses a surprise winner." This is not acceptable--if the contest is eventful, it has to be told what is eventful about it, and the surprising result has to be given. similarly almost all the others. well, at least for the episode mentioned, i gave away the ending (im so sorry dear reader, but it had to be done.) i also improved the episode article. why? so 10,000 years from now, the Wikipedia Guide to the Galaxy will have a listing better than "mostly harmless" for at least one GI episode. progress marches on!(mercurywoodrose)76.234.122.170 (talk) 04:55, 18 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

flags in the pilot

[edit]

Are we SURE that there are flags in the opening sequence of the original pilot flying at half staff? Having just watched it, I can see only one flag in the entire sequence, and it is flying at full staff. 74.67.106.1 (talk) 10:52, 8 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
