Talk:List of Greyhound Bus stations

Article needs to discriminate between terminals, major interchanges and routine stops along the street or highway.

[edit]

If anyone is planning to work on this article, it would be good to organise it by type, or at least tag it by type.

Are there any Greyhound terminals deliberately located just off the freeway (like Coachway interchanges in the UK) rather than in the city center as is traditional? --John Maynard Friedman (talk) 10:49, 13 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I think the current geographic orientation might be the best, at least primarily. I agree that organizing stations by their role in the system and "scale" would be useful, but unless we have a RS to pull out that specifically identifies major ones, I'm not sure on what we can base that qualitative judgement. Also given that this is a list that includes shared facilities, defunct facilities, etc. I think we run into issues. Julius177 (talk) 15:04, 13 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, yes, I agree that organising at least by state is best. My suggestion is to add some kind of classifier to each location that would indicate whether it is a significant facility in its own right, has allocated space [ticketing, waiting room] in another facility (railway station, airport), or is just a stop outside the drug store on Main Street. Just an idea.--John Maynard Friedman (talk) 15:54, 13 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
