Proposed split[edit]

I notice that {{Split-apart}} has been added to the article with the edit sumary "Added template for request for splitting, as article size is approaching 140k."[1]. While the file size of the article is approaching 140kB, that's not what we base the size of the article on when splitting an article. Instead we use the size of the article's "readable prose" which, per Wikipedia:Article size, is defined as "all viewable text in the main sections only, not including any viewable text in a table or a list, and not including any footer sections". Strictly speaking, this article contains only 421 bytes of readable prose. However, including all of the episode summaries, i.e. using a very loose interpretation of the definition of readable prose, the size of the article jumps to just under 18.4kB. WP:SIZERULE recommends that consideration be given to splitting articles once an article reaches 50kB of readable prose but this article falls below WP:SIZERULE's "Length alone does not justify division" 40kB limit. There are other considerations when contemplating splitting an episode list, the main one being the ability to add enough significant, cited content to season articles that justify creation of the articles and I don't see that this exists. Without that extra content, splitting forces the reader to look in multiple articles for the most basic episode content that is currently all available in a single article. It makes far more sense to include everything on one page if the only substantial content is the episode tables. Splitting this article would result in results in nine articles covering what one currently does and they all need to watched. Managing multiple articles is almost always more unwieldy than managing one. There simply isn't justification enough for splitting the article at this time. --AussieLegend () 09:11, 5 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
