Interesting list -- thanks for starting it. I see some pretty prominent artists (and personal favorites) who don't yet have wikibios. Thanks, Pete Tillman (talk) 23:28, 29 April 2009 (UTC)

It's true - particularly prominent contemporary artists are lacking articles, but I keep adding bios as I can. -Uyvsdi (talk) 23:35, 29 April 2009 (UTC)Uyvsdi
Thanks for leading with the Fred Kabotie mural, one of my favorite of his works, very striking and memorable imagery. If you haven't been to the Painted Desert Inn since its renovation, it's well worth a visit. Cheers, Pete Tillman (talk) 21:39, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
Will do. There is so much excellent public art in this area; I need to finally figure out how to use Wikipedia's Fair-Use Rationale for art. Cheers, -Uyvsdi (talk) 16:15, 24 May 2009 (UTC)Uyvsdi

Mestizos

I Believe that we must creat a diferent article about Mestizo or Métis artists, instead of grouping them with indigenous, cause of course they are not indigenous but a half. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ishrixio (talkcontribs) 00:40, 2 June 2010 (UTC)

I added this note to the article:

<Invisible> Redlinks on the list are for notable Native artists who don't yet have a Wiki page. Please add only well-established artists who meet the requirements of Wikipedia:Notability (people). Thanks!-->

I'll also note that the redlinks are a good guide fot those looking for a worthy new article topic! Cheers, Pete Tillman (talk) 18:18, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
