Modified table[edit]

Paora et al: I propose that we modify / amend the table to show which office(s) an individual held, given that living KCs were redesignated as QCs upon Elizabeth II ascending the throne. What's needed, therefore, is some way of showing "KC" or "QC" or both, plus the death date of the individual (as that determines whether there is redesignation). Note that the same will happen once more when Elizabeth II is succeeded by a male heir. I considered colour-coding for the change of office but that is undesirable for colour-blind readers. Is it also worth changing "year appointed" to "date appointed"? How's the below? Schwede66 02:46, 18 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Name Date appointed Office Death Location
John Findlay 7 Jun 1907 KC 7 Dec 1929 Wellington
Thomas Joynt 7 Jun 1907 KC 5 Sep 1907 Christchurch
Rex Mason 1946 KC / QC 2 Apr 1975 Auckland
@Schwede66: Looks good. I'd suggest moving the Location column next to Date appointed, as the location relates to the appointment, not to the death. Is it worth adding portraits? Paora (talkcontribs) 16:49, 18 April 2021‎ (UTC)[reply]
Name Portrait Date appointed Location Office Date of death

Russell Fairbrother 2013 Napier QC Living
That's looking splendid! Good idea to include portraits. Ping others with multiple edits (LcmortensenMurielMary). Schwede66 05:39, 18 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
BTW, Arthur Fair is the first in the list who saw Elizabeth II become Queen and thus become a QC. Schwede66 20:37, 19 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
