Why I Made This Page[edit]

Redirected the info from the page on Korn's backup band to this simpler, more organized list. Got the idea from List of Black Sabbath band members. Dark Executioner (talk) 16:09, 19 December 2007 (UTC)Dark Executioner[reply]

This page does not need to exist. The list of Black Sabbath members warrants such a list because of the band's long history and large number of members. Korn have only ever had a total of 7 people in the band, and this is all amply explained on the main page. Plus the list of drummers who filled in is definitely extraneous, as Korn stated they were not bonafide members. This list is WAY harder to understand compared to the original page. This page relists useless information over and over again causing clutter, thus makig the page harder to understand. There are also no real references and numorous erros and false info. For exapmle the Reasons for Departures section make it seem the members of the back up band were at some point offical members of the band. Also there has never been any offical talk from Korn concerning Zac Baird and Shane Gibson becoming offical members of Korn. To improve the page, the table should be removed and any lists including Jonathan, Fieldy, Munky, David and Head should be removed considering they are not members of the back up band. ~207.69.139.142

I'm sorry, but as you may or may not have noticed, there is a source where I got this information from. The site where it stated that there was talk about Zac and Shane joining the band was from www.kornunleashed.com, a website where new information on Korn was posted almost daily. Also, this page is not only for the backing members of korn, but also the true members, hence the page name "List of Korn band members." And moreover, the table offers a more organized list than what previously before looked like somebody's notes. The "Reasons for Departures" section does NOT make it seem like the members of the backup band were true members of Korn; it simply states why they left. Also keep in mind that one person's opinion does not dictate how a page should run - and don't even say that I'm the only person running this thing. I have simply laid the groundworks for the page, and if there is any lineup changes that occur in Korn, then they may be recorded here. Thank you. Fair use rationale for Image:Korn logo.png[edit]

Image:Korn logo.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Mike Bordin[edit]

I don't think Bordin should be listed as a Backup Band member, because he was just a fill in from 2000-1, while the backup band started in 2005 and its members are more permanent.

Korn being greedy[edit]

Is there any background information on Korn being so greedy in not allowing these musicians the status as members of Korn? This seems very different and unusual compared to 99.9% of the bands out there, including some at the very top like Metallica. Is there a story behind this selfishness and greed? It seems they lost Bozzio which is one of the most recognized drummers around due to this selfishness. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Nustran (talkcontribs) 10:36, 2 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Is is appropriate to have a Korn band member page?[edit]

Korn went through only six members in its history. The Offspring and Paramore went through eight. Paramore doesn't even have a band member page. Is it appropriate to have a band member page on a band where just one member (David Silveria) only got replaced once? Kart2401real (talk) 04:05, 23 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
