Definition is misleading[edit]

The article states that these are the Champions of Irish Football but, political situation in Ireland aside and talking in purely Football terms, this article would mislead a reader researching Irish Football into believing that Irish Football began in 1921 and that this was the premier competition. This is not the case and as a result I have clarified and reworded the article to show that this was the League of the Irish Free State and later the Republic of Ireland to differentiate from it's Northern Irish counterpart. i have also explained the break in Irish Football so that the reader is not mislead Captainbeecher (talk) 08:17, 6 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
