Session Members[edit]

Is there a Wikipedia policy to include session members? I feel they should be taken out of this page and the timeline, as they were never part of the band, merely hired hands. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.9.203.129 (talk) 09:45, 20 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Kiko[edit]

Isn't Kiko going to be a session player? since he is noted on both pages as a member. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.97.35.27 (talk) 10:55, 7 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Kiko/Marty[edit]

As some of you here may know someone took the freedom to change Marty Friedman to a member of Megadeth, he/she also did this on the Megadeth page but that one was already reverted, I would like to do it but I'm afraid I won't have the skills to do it. can somebody revert this? since it's already confirmed that it's not true.Twiggstick (talk) 17:05, 21 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Addition[edit]

Billy Bonds source needs to be added to vocalists, he joined after John Cyriis left before Dave became singer. I'd do it myself but wikitables are nightmare fuel for me lol. RF23 (talk) 12:00, 21 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Fallen Angels[edit]

It doesn't make sense to include the members of Fallen Angels in this list, as it predates Megadeth. David O. Johnson (talk) 05:04, 29 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Last Rites/When did Gar join[edit]

Hi, BoxxyBoy

Regarding the questions of when the Last Rites demo was recorded, I'm not sure if this is a question can be resolved satisfactorily, since we have Dave saying that Lee Rauch did record the drums on Last Rites, while Junior is saying that Gar played them [1]. What do you do when the source itself is in disagreement?

FWIW, Discogs lists the Last Rites demo recording date as "March 9, 1984" [2], which is way before when Junior said that Gar joined (per Junior in the Blabbermouth ref, "That three song demo was recorded as a three piece with me, Dave & Gar in summer of 1984.")

The archived version of the history section of the Megadeth site does list Lee as the drummer for Last Rites, as well (https://web.archive.org/web/20110101193455/http://www.megadeth.com/history.php#1984).

As a corollary to that, there's the question of exactly when Gar joined.

Maybe there are some contemporary sources that could shed some light on either question. David O. Johnson (talk) 20:13, 4 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Discogs is not a reliable source. Junior's memory may not be the best, which is why I listed the Last Rites release date as unrelaible, HOWEVER due to there not being another source for Gar's joining date, this should be kept; I am the one who added his and Lee's previous joining/leaving dates on the timeline, so I feel like if I discover new information that contradicts my previous info, it should be changed.
