Non-Mexican Mexican boxing world champions

[edit]

How does that work? Why are Americans and other nationalities listed as Mexican boxing champions? Removed and waiting for comment. BrendanFrye (talk) 05:32, 12 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Not brave enough to use the talk page? It's pretty simple. BrendanFrye (talk) 06:33, 13 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
You do realize (according to your list) that three of the top five Mexican boxers of all time aren't Mexican, they are American. BrendanFrye (talk) 07:07, 13 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Why do you keep adding American boxing champs to the page? BrendanFrye (talk) 17:57, 15 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Still no discussion? BrendanFrye (talk) 06:00, 19 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

How is the whole WBA Reg and Full champ sorted?

[edit]

So Juan Francisco Estrada was the Super WBA champ at 115, while at the same time Joshua franco(Mexican American) was the regular champ. He wasnt added to the champs list which made sense because hes not the full champ, but now that Juan Estrada vacated the super title, Franco is now the full and only WBA champ. For future refernces, how are those situations going to work? Do they not get added until they recieve the Super Champion status? Despite no other WBA champ being in their division? "Boxing in Mexico" should be a wikipedia page

[edit]

Boxing and Mexico are synonymous around the world. Boxing is a global sport and Mexico is perhaps the 2nd most successful country, historically and currentlyl, in producing Boxers and champions in Boxing. Mexico is more notable in Boxing than in Baseball or Association Football.

I am very surprised that a "Boxing in Mexico" wikipedia page doesn't currently exist. This "List of Mexican boxing world champions" page is the closest thing to a comprehensive Mexico/Boxing page.

I want to know if we can change this page to a more general "Boxing in Mexico" page, or if we should created a brand new page. There exists a "Football in Mexico" page and a "Baseball in Mexico" page. There surly should exist a "Boxing in Mexico" page. DavidESPN (talk) 21:06, 7 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
