Might need some updating

[edit]

Ray Allen is no longer in the league. The first line on this list is incorrect. Really brings the rest of the numbers into question. I realize the source data is a bit out of date, but shouldn't the wiki community do a better job of not simply regurgitating information? --208.61.250.70 (talk) 03:17, 16 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

He is a free agent but not officially retired, so it stays as is. And the page is updated daily, so the problem is resolved. --Bentvfan54321 (talk) 03:19, 16 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Missing players

[edit]

It's not clear how this list is ordered, but there are a number of players omitted from the list that have higher percentages, more 3 pointers made, and more games played than some that are currently listed. Per [1], the following players should be on this list at least for their percentages:

Rank Player 3s-made 3s-attempted 3-% Yrs. Played Gms. Played
1 H. Davis 728 1651 44.1% 16 685
2 T. Legler 260 603 43.1% 11 310
3 B.J. Armstrong 436 1026 42.5% 11 747
4 D. Green 1684 4028 41.8% 9 540
5 W. Person 1150 2754 41.8% 16 454
6 D. Barros 1090 2652 41.1% 14 850
7 W. Szczerbiak 590 1453 40.6% 14 651
8 B. Barry 1395 3442 40.5% 14 912
9 D. Curry 1245 3098 40.2% 16 1083

Who updates this entry to correct these glaring omissions?

The first paragraph of the page explains that this list is based on total number of career 3-pointers made...it does not have anything to do with 3-point percentage. Coulraphobic123 (talk) 01:45, 20 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Ties at 50th place?

[edit]

We're hitting an era where the bottom of this list may end up in numerous ties. For example, Eric Gordon is only 3 3PM away from tying Jackson as of writing this post. If this happens, would it be correct to list 51 players on this list, with a tie shown at 50? Or would the note read "multiple tied at 1248"? There are 6 other active players within ~125 3PM of Jackson, so this may become relevant in other cases as the year progresses.

Yes, the list would just have both players as a tie at 50 until that tie is broken. Coulraphobic123 (talk) 00:50, 27 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Why aren't Ray Allen and Reggie Miller on this list?

[edit]

The article even cites an official source from nba.com that provides the correct stats with Allen and Miller being above Curry.

Steph Curry on top, 2021

[edit]

Steph Curry now leading in points 61.68.245.26 (talk) 09:56, 20 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Not done He is leading if both regular season and playoff threes are combined. This list is for regular season only, in which he is still 2nd behind Allen. Engr. Smitty Werben 10:21, 20 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
