Expand this list page?[edit]

I invite any editor to expand this list to include more data than just a link to each NFL and AFL season article. Compared to List of National Basketball Association seasons, List of NHL seasons and the like, this NFL one currently sucks. Even List of Major League Baseball seasons is a little better in listing each American League Champion, National League Champion, and World Series Champion. It serves the minimum purpose of providing navigation to a specific season. A bit more context could be useful. Without overlapping too much with List of Super Bowl champions or History of the National Football League championship, perhaps add a column to link to each season's champion.—Bagumba (talk) 08:10, 12 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The same overlapping issues seem to also occur with those other league championship articles (List of World Series champions, List of NBA champions, and List of Stanley Cup champions). But again given how the NFL is more popular than the other three leagues, the optics kinda looks bad when the NFL season list article here seems to be at a bare minimum, let alone something that would sufficiently pass WP:SALLEAD. Maybe just transclude the tables from History of the National Football League championship#Championship games per season and call it a day. Or just redirect this there. It's not like anyone is likely to come up with any meaningful prose besides "This is a list of seasons".—Bagumba (talk) 13:17, 15 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Well after 13 months, I finally got around to do some expansion. My only problem was whether to actually list any teams in the top playoff seeds columns between 1970 to 1974 when there were actually no official seeds, because the home teams in the playoffs were decided based on a yearly rotation of division winners. For now, I just left them essentially blank with the footnote. I'm sure there were wild card tiebreaking rules back then that could have been used to determine them unofficially, it's just that I have not found any reliable sources to confirm. The NFL Record & Fact Book is silent on the matter regarding those seasons. Zzyzx11 (talk) 09:43, 4 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
