Disputed[edit]

I am in not against the creation of this page but the content needs to be true and factual. I have found a massive blunder in Bihar section where all the seats are shown to be won by the alliance and many more. this needs to be corrected with utmost importance. See Indian general election in Bihar, 2009 Khushank94 (talk) 06:54, 13 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. As JD(U) is not a part of NDA anymore, so NDA can't be declared as the winner on the seats where JD(U) won. They can write winner where BJP won, but not where JD(U) won. Need more discussion for this dispute. Logical1004 (talk) 07:05, 13 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The page is about NDA and JD(U) was a part of it then so, there is no problem in placing it as a winner but it won 32 seats and here it is shown winner on all 40 seats.Khushank94 (talk) 07:35, 13 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Proceed to correct that. Also The article is about present allies in the current incoming elections, so using past allies as a source for telling itself a winner is itself dubious. Logical1004 (talk) 07:43, 13 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Corrected by someone. LJP is the new partner, so no JD(U) seats discussed. No dispute now. Logical1004 (talk) 09:07, 13 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
that's wiki .... Khushank94 (talk) 13:39, 13 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Tamil Nadu[edit]

some update on 6 party alliance in TN: http://www.thehindu.com/news/national/tamil-nadu/bjp-announces-sixparty-alliance-in-tn/article5810008.ece?homepage=true --Soman (talk) 12:31, 20 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Merging Complication[edit]

Its Better to Keep NDA Candidate List as it is

Why? Wikipedia is not a source for advertising in any sense. and the article that has been created lists all the candidates regardless of any advertisements. If you want to find only NDA candidates, there are many sites you can look. All pages have been requested to merge, whether that is for NDA candidates, UPA candidates or any other, and please discuss here (until the discussion is closed) before removing the template. A C Shanmugam[edit]

New Justice Party president A C Shanmugam is contesting the Vellore seat from the BJP’s symbol.[1] Should he be counted as a BJP candidate or a NJP candidate? ♛♚★Vaibhav Jain★♚♛ Talk Email 07:01, 2 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Election Commission will count him as BJP candidate. So let us follow ECI . Shyamsunder (talk) 09:52, 5 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

2009 NDA[edit]

Its quite unclear. What 2009 NDA in each state section suggests? For example,Runner up: Is that NDA candidate in 2014 was runner up or NDA party/BJP was runner up? What in case of old ally (like JDU) or New ally (like LJP)? Its confusing. Its also not much important that how NDA performed in 2009 here in 2014. I suggest to remove this NDA 2009 column. Your opinion? Nizil (talk) 08:58, 5 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Precisely, it is a WP:OR landmine field, as NDA is in the end nothing else that BJP+ and have no formalized membership. --Soman (talk) 09:01, 5 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Agree with both of you. This column is not necessary.Shyamsunder (talk) 09:50, 5 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Remove Agreed. The column can be removed as it doesn't have much significance and is confusing. Logical1004 (talk) 09:21, 18 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
